Treatment Skill/Gain (Intent)

Use the Treatment Skill/Gain (Intent) grid to configure the use of the Skill and To Gain fields on the Treatment template. These fields can be configured in any of the following states based on the requirements of the financial class or payer: Not Required - Hide – The fields do not appear on the template. Use this when no payers need the fields filled in. Not Required - Show – The fields appear on the template, but insurers do not require them, and users may leave them blank and still submit charges on the encounter. Required – If the user documents treatment in any grid on the template that has Skill and To Gain fields, then the user must also enter values in the Skill and To Gain fields for that grid in order to submit charges on that encounter. Sort Order for Patient's Exercises

You can sort the order of a patient's exercises during documentation on the NTS Treatment template. Before you begin You must have documented the treatments on the NTS Treatment template. On the NTS Treatment template, select Sort Tx. The Treatment Sort template opens. Treatment Sort template Select the Treatment Type. In the Existing Sort Order grid: Select the body areas in the desired order. Select the exercises in the desired order. The body areas and exercises appear in the New Sort Order grid in the order that you selected in the Existing Sort Order grid. Treatment Section

The treatment grid shows therapies and education that you have documented for the patient. You can document therapies completed with the patient using any of the treatment templates in the left-hand list. The therapies documented on the templates are billable, with the exception of the Education template, which always shows a billable Total Time entry of zero. Treatment Template

Use the NTS Treatment template to record therapeutic activities. The template includes grids for the following billable codes: Therapeutic Exercise (97110) Therapeutic activity (97530) Neuro-muscular re-education (97112) Manual Therapy (97140) Gait-training Therapy (97116) NTS Treatment template Note: The positions of the grids for Therapeutic exercise (97110), Therapeutic activity (97530), and Neuro-muscular re-education (97112) may vary, based on how your organization has configured them. Add Treatment Plan Details for PT/OT and Speech Visits

In the NTS Single Visit or NTS Speech Single Visit template, expand the Plan panel, and then go to the Treatment Plan section. If this is the first visit in this case, the Treatment grid will be empty. Afterwards, when you open this template, all entries in the grid copy forward from the prior visit. Select a category of treatment activities by doing one of the following: To enter general treatment activities, select Default. To enter treatment activities specific to a specialty, select a specialty category. Note: Administrators can configure categories and associated picklists in the NTS Picklist Manager practice template. Select the Treatment field. A picklist of treatment items opens. Do one of the following to add all treatment activities you plan to use to rehabilitate the patient: Select the items from the picklist, and then select Close or Done.
