Precertification/Authorization Panel

The grid in the Precertification/Authorization panel initially displays all authorizations entered for that case. When you select a payer in the Insurance Information grid, you then see authorizations for that payer. You can enter new information, update it, or remove authorizations. Add a Message for a Payer

Select the Payer from the Insurance Information grid. Select the text field below the messages grid to enter the payer message. Note: If no payer is selected first, the text field will not be editable. Add button on the Messages panel Select Add to save the message. Parent topic: Messages

Pre-cert Template

The Pre-Cert template has a grid showing information for all payers attached to the case, a panel for messages that can be sent to payers, and a panel to view and record information on pre-certification and authorization. Edit a Payer Message

Select the Payer from the Insurance Information grid. In the messages grid, select the message to be edited. Select the Edit button below the grid. The message text enters the field below the grid. Change the message text by typing in the grid. Select Update to save the changes. Note: To delete a message, select it, and then select Remove. Parent topic: Messages

Pre-Authorization for Surgeries

You can use the Pre Auth template to add and track the authorization details for scheduling the surgery of a patient. On the Pre Auth template, you can view the surgery order details and encounter-level insurance, enter pre-authorization details, and enter additional information of the patient for other surgery schedulers and coordinators. Pre-authorization template The following table describes the panels on the Pre Auth template. Panel Description Surgery Information You can view the details of the surgery order that is placed on the Surgery Sched template. The fields in this panel are read-only. Authorization You can add the pre-authorization details, and enter details for other surgery schedulers and coordinators in the Notes field.
