Security Group Category/Payer Overrides

Use Security Group Category/Payer Overrides grid to create alerts that users, based on their security group and the patient’s payer on the case, will see on the NTS Homepage template. The Allow and Prevent options work in conjunction with the Action column to override the setting of Bill & Sign permissions (see Security Group Category Bill & Sign Visit Type Permissions) when a payer is an exception to the general setting. On the Security Groups and Sign Off panel, you can: Assign rights to a security group. Assign "Bill & Sign" rights to each security group category based on visit type. Create alerts based on the security group category and payer. Configure additional sign-off options as needed. Assign Permissions to Add Insurance

In System Administrator, you can assign permissions to user groups that want to include additional insurances at the order level. For more information on access rights in System Administrator, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest System Administrator Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. Note: At the order level, when you manually change an insurance selection, the encounter-level insurance configurations are not affected. For more information on encounter-level insurance configurations, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Patient Demographics Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. Open System Administrator. To assign add insurance permissions to a user group, in the left pane, expand the Enterprise and Practice folders, and then select the user group. Select the Rights tab. Provide Sign-off Rights to a Security Group

On the Picklist Configuration practice template, expand the Provider & Clinical Staff Picklists panel. From the Template "Sign-off" Categories grid, select the desired category. In the field below the Security groups included in Category grid, select the security group to added to the selected Sign-off category. Add button for Security Groups in the Provider and Clinical Staff Picklists panel Click Add. The added group appears in the Security groups included in Category grid on selecting the corresponding Sign off category. Set Up Security Access Rights for Charge Discounts

You must have security access rights to enable the Apply Charge Discount option in System Administrator and to access the Discounts window from the Charge Posting window in NextGen® Enterprise PM. To set up security access rights for charge discounts, do the following: Open System Administrator. Select Practice. Select the desired user group name under the practice. Select the Rights tab. Select Operations, and then select Charge Entry. Select Apply Charge Discount, and then set the appropriate Access Rights for the group. If you select Yes, the Discounts icon is available on the Charge Posting toolbar. If you select No, then the Discounts icon is not available on the Charge Posting toolbar. To save changes, select Save, and then Update. Grant User Access to GET Settings

The GET access rights are granted at the group level in System Administrator. Open System Administrator.The NextGen System Administrator window opens and the defined practices are displayed in the left pane. Right-click a practice and select New Group from the menu.The General tab of the Security Group tab appears in the right pane. Type a name for the group in the Name field. Type a description for the group in Description. Fill in the other details as required. Click Save.The group name is added to the navigation pane. Click the Rights tab. Click the plus sign for Operations and click Administration. Click Edit EHR Component Profiles. Click Yes option in Access Rights. Click Update.You are returned to the General tab for the Security Group. To add members to the group, select the check box for each member to be added. Click Update. Parent topic: GET Settings
