Cancel App Tracking Reasons
When scheduling staff cancels a patient’s appointment in NextGen® Enterprise PM, a window opens so they can enter a reason for the cancellation. The reasons for cancellation are set up in File Maintenance. In the Cancel App Tracking Reasons grid, you can select which cancellation reasons should or should not be tracked and displayed on Homepage. Cancel App Tracking Reasons grids on the Appointment Tracking & Evaluation Types Panel The left grid shows all tracked cancel reasons that are built in your File Maintenance application. All reasons in the left grid count as a 'Cancel' and are shown on Homepage by default. To set any of the reasons NOT to not be tracked in the cancel count, select the reason, and then select the right arrow to move it to the Not Tracked Cancel Reason grid. Evaluation Event Types
You can use the Evaluation Event Types grids to specify what your evaluation event types are in NextGen® Enterprise PM. If the patient is scheduled for that event type and the therapist does not choose an Eval Visit Type on the templates, an alert on the Fee Sheet notifies them of this. It will not prevent a user from submitting charges if the visit type is not changed to an 'Eval' visit type. The grid on the right shows all available events. Only the visit types in the Eval Events (EPM) grid will cause an alert to appear. Canceled and No-show Appointments
The counts in the Canceled Appts and Appt. no shows fields pull directly from NextGen® Enterprise PM. The count in Appt. no shows excludes today’s appointment and reflects all appointments that were not marked as "Kept". Note: See Cancel App Tracking Reasons on the System Config system template to configure which reasons for canceled appointments affect the “Canceled appointments count” on the NTS Homepage. Cancel Template
Use the Cancel template to document a canceled or no-show appointment, and to select cancel or no-show charges that will be sent directly to NextGen® Enterprise PM. Cancel an Appointment
You can only cancel appointments created in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, not those created in NextGen® Enterprise PM. You can view the canceled appointments. Select an appointment. Select Cancel Appointment in the toolbar. An Appointments cancelation confirmation window opens. To cancel the appointment, select Yes. The appointment is cancelled and removed from the appointments list. To view canceled appointments, select Appointments > Show Cancelled Appointments menu. Canceled appointments appear with a strikethrough line. Note: Appointments canceled for the current date are displayed, whether the Show Cancelled Appointments options is not selected.
