Start of Care (SOC) Visits

On the NTS Homepage template, you can view the SOC count for the total number of billable visits created for the patient since start of care. However, if a patient started treatment under a previous EMR, you may need to override the SOC count on the patient’s first visit in NextGen® Therapy Suite. The SOC Visits count label is a link on the patient’s first visit. Homepage Template

Open the NTS Homepage template as the starting point for all visits. On it, you can view key information such as scripts, authorizations, KX modifier, and the plan of care. The application tracks this information and, when you open the NTS Homepage template, alerts you if action is needed. Ancillary Services

The Ancillary Services visit type selected on Homepage opens the Ancillary Services template. This visit type does not increase the patient’s SOC on Homepage. Ancillary Services visit type selected on NTS Homepage With the Ancillary Services template, you can see patients for concussion testing and H-wave testing and document findings for baseline readings prior to injury or post injury. It also includes a Concussion Document. You must select Start Time before you can document any information. Select the Patient seen for text field to open a picklist of ancillary services. Document a PT or OT Patient Screening

Before you begin Ensure that a patient encounter is created in NextGen® Enterprise PM and the patient is checked in. Document a PT or OT patient screening before you complete a patient evaluation. Open a patient record, and then in Encounter History, expand a case and select an encounter. Open the NTS Homepage template, and then in Visit Type, select Screening. Select the Screening tab to open the NTS Screening. In each panel, document the patient screening information, and then in the Clinical Impression/Plan panel, complete the signoff information. View the Last Progress Note Date Information

Open a patient record, and then in Encounter History, expand a case and select an encounter. To view the encounter date of the previous evaluation or progress visit, open the NTS Homepage template for the patient, and then review the Last Progress Note date field. The Last Progress Note date field is updated when you submit charges on an encounter with the PT Progress visit type. To view the number of days and visits remaining until the next progress note is due, open a Single Visit template for the patient, expand the Case Details side panel, and then review the information in Last Progress Visit. The remaining time is calculated from the payer configuration in the Finclass and Payer Settings section of the NTS System Config template. User Defined Signoff

Use this section to configure additional sign-off options to suit the needs of your practice. There are four user-configurable signature fields. Select a row in the grid. Enter the label that you want to see for the checkbox on Single Visit (for example, Additional Therapist, External Physician, Ordering Physician, or Treatment Coordinator). User Defined Signoff grid in the Security Groups and Sign Off section of the System Config template If you want the document to show a heading above that signer’s name, enter it in the field below the Doc Header column. Note: NextGen Healthcare suggests text that indicates that the person signed electronically. Assign permission based on the signoff rights at the top of the NTS System Config template.
