Ancillary Services

The Ancillary Services visit type selected on Homepage opens the Ancillary Services template. This visit type does not increase the patient’s SOC on Homepage.

With the Ancillary Services template, you can see patients for concussion testing and H-wave testing and document findings for baseline readings prior to injury or post injury. It also includes a Concussion Document.

You must select Start Time before you can document any information.
Select the Patient seen for text field to open a picklist of ancillary services.
Select the ancillary service that you want to document on.
The service you choose determines the charges that appear below the Comments field.
Enter the provider’s name or select the Provider button to select it.
Select the select the patient’s school or team.
Make any necessary notes in the Comments field.
Select the checkbox for the Charge to apply.

If you select the checkbox Manually enter charge amount $, you must enter an amount in the field, and then select the Task Billing button to be able to sign off.

Note: The charges that display are configured in the Billing Configuration system template. All charges that are built in the Billing Configuration system template must also be built in the SIM Library.
Select the End Time button.
Sign off on the documentation. After you sign off on the template, the charges are automatically sent to NextGen® Enterprise PM.
To generate the document for the encounter, select the Concussion Document icon.
