Add Details to a Complaint

When capturing specifics about an individual complaint, be sure that the option next to that complaint is selected. Select the checkboxes to the right of the Patient Complains of fields to add details about the complaint. Document specifics only for that complaint. Fields for patient complaints As needed, select the No or Yes option for any Recent Changes in the patient’s medical status or Medications. Add Complaints to the List

Below Patient Complains of, select the option for the blank field you want to modify. Select the white field. A picklist of complaints opens. Chief Complaint picklist Select a complaint from the picklist. Note: If you select the blank space at the top of the picklist, you can enter an entry into the selected field. The complaint displays in the blue field, and the option for the next field is selected. If necessary, repeat the previous steps to add more complaints. Chief Complaints

You can document up to six different complaints within a case. These complaints appear in the blue fields below Patient Complains of. Add a Chief Complaint

Open the Intake template. To add a chief complaint, do one of the following: Click a blank Chief Complaint field and select a value from the list. As you make each selection, Note: The first of a cascade of picklists opens, for you to select descriptors for the complaint and the next picklist opens. Add a Chief Complaint

You can add up to six chief complaints. If the patient has complaints that were not captured on Intake, you can add them on Billable Visit. Click on a blank HPI # link. The first of a series of picklists opens. Select items in the picklists. Each selection opens the next picklist. Picklists for chief complaint When you have selected an item in the fourth picklist, or at any time that you click Close, the picklists close. To type a complaint, click the Free Text button.
