Document HPI of Patients

You can document a history of present illness (HPI) for chief complaints. On the Billable Visit template, in the History panel, click on any chief complaint. The IORTShpi window opens displaying the corresponding HPI tab. IORTS HPI template Note: To document a different chief complaint, you can click the desired HPI tab. The Procedures grid displays the details from the Orthopedic Surgical History section on the Billable Visit template. Do one of the following to enter the patient's HPI. Click Get Data, select the desired encounter to copy the details from the scope window, and then click OK. In the QuickPick toolbar, click the Star icon or Double star icon icon, select the desired set name from the filter window, and then click OK. Select the appropriate options and enter the details in the fields. To add details of the patient's employer, click Add below the Employer field. Patient History

You can review, add, and update the patient histories. The History panel on the Billable Visit template enables you to select the visit type and review the diagnoses, histories, medications, allergies, and review of systems of a patient. You can also add or update the details of the history of present illness (HPI). The following grids are automatically filled with the data documented on the Intake template. You can add, edit, and remove the data as needed. Add a Chief Complaint

Open the Intake template. To add a chief complaint, do one of the following: Click a blank Chief Complaint field and select a value from the list. As you make each selection, Note: The first of a cascade of picklists opens, for you to select descriptors for the complaint and the next picklist opens. When you make the final selection, the documented item fills the Chief Complaint field. Picklists for chief complaint Close out of the picklist and enter a complaint into the field. Add Complaints to the List

Below Patient Complains of, select the option for the blank field you want to modify. Select the white field. A picklist of complaints opens. Chief Complaint picklist Select a complaint from the picklist. Note: If you select the blank space at the top of the picklist, you can enter an entry into the selected field. The complaint displays in the blue field, and the option for the next field is selected. If necessary, repeat the previous steps to add more complaints. Edit or Delete a Chief Complaint

Click the Free Text button. Click the desired field to make changes. To erase a chief complaint, click the eraser icon for that field. Click Save & Close to save the changes you have made and return to the Billable Visit template. Parent topic: Add a Chief Complaint

Chief Complaint

Use this section to enter up to six chief complaints or reasons for the patient’s visit. The complaints entered here are pushed to the Billable Visit, Fracture Care, and NG Mobile templates. All chief complaints automatically populate fields in the HPI section on the Billable Visit template. For more information, refer to the Billable Visit section.
