Assign Tasks

Depending on the location and type of message or request, some selection options may not be available. For more information about working with tasks, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Practice Workflow User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
  1. Perform one of the following actions:
    • Select a message from a mailbox in Patient Portal messages and select To Do.
    • Right-click a Patient Portal message, and then select Send Task To.
    • Open a message request or an online form, and then select Send Task.
    The New Task window opens.
  2. Select the required Date.
  3. Select the Priority.
  4. Optional: Update the Subject and Description.
  5. Select Assign To.
    The Select Task Recipients window opens.
  6. Select the check boxes next to each user and/or group receiving the task, and then select Add.
  7. Select OK.
    You are returned to the New Task window.
  8. Select Add to assign the task.
