Update a Medication and Instructions
On the
IORTS Cfg Surgery Schedule
system template, expand the
Pre & Post Op Medication Instructions
panel.
In the
Category
grid, select the desired category.
All the available medications and corresponding instructions for the selected category appear in the right grid.
Select the medication to be updated.
The fields below the grid displays the medication name and the corresponding instructions.
Make changes to the medication name or instructions.
Click
Update

Add a Medication and Instructions
You can add a medication and instructions to the picklist for a selected category. Each category corresponds to the header for a set of fields. On the IORTS Cfg Surgery Schedule system template, expand the Pre & Post Op Medication Instructions panel. In the Category grid, select the desired category. In the field below the Item column, enter the medication. In the field below the Description column, enter the instructions for medication. Click Add. Delete a Medication
You can delete a medication and instructions from a category picklist. On the IORTS Cfg Surgery Schedule system template, expand the Pre & Post Op Medication Instructions panel. In the Category grid, select the desired category. All the available medications and corresponding instructions for the selected category appear in the right grid. Managing Pre- and Post-Operative Medication Instructions
You can configure the picklist for pre- and post-operative medications and instructions fields using the IORTS Cfg Surgery Schedule system template. The Pre & Post Op Medication Instructions panel on the IORTS Cfg Surgery Schedule system template has the medication categories. You can use these categories to configure the picklists for the following fields in the Medical Clearance panel on the Surgery Sched medical record template. Enter Pre-and Post-op Medications and Instructions
To enter Pre-OP Medications, Post-OP Medications, and Instructions, click the fields and select the medications and instructions from the configurable picklists. Note: The picklists for these fields are configured on the Surgery Scheduling Configuration template. Modify a General or Medication Procedure Order
You can modify general or medication procedure orders on the Procedure Order & Discharge Instruction practice template. Select a Specialty, Procedure, Type, and Category to display the pre-configured procedure orders in the grid. The General Procedure Order option is selected by default. If you want to modify a medication procedure order, select Medication Procedure Order. Highlight a row in the grid. The data populates in the corresponding fields. Make relevant changes in the applicable fields. Click Update. The modified procedure order updates in the grid. Parent topic: Configure a Medication Procedure Order
