Remove a Procedure Order

Select a Specialty, Procedure, Type, and Category to display the pre-configured procedure orders in the grid. The General Procedure Order option is selected by default. If you want to remove a medication procedure order, select Medication Procedure Order. Highlight a row in the grid. Click Remove. The selected procedure order is removed from the grid. Sort the Procedure Order

The procedure orders in the run-time Procedure Orders panel are in the same order as the procedure order in the grid on the Procedure Order & Discharge Instruction practice template. In the practice template, you can sort the procedure orders in the grid. Select a Specialty, Procedure, Type, and Category to display the pre-configured procedure orders in the grid. The General Procedure Order option is selected by default. If you want to sort the medication orders, select Medication Procedure Order. Select any of the following Sort options below the grid. Procedure - To change the position of all the procedure orders associated with a procedure based on the selected sort functionality. Type - To change the position of all the procedure orders associated with a type of order based on the selected sort functionality. Configure a Medication Procedure Order

On the Procedure Order & Discharge Instruction practice template, you can configure medication procedure orders for a specific specialty and procedure. To configure specialty-specific procedure orders, click Specialty and select a Specialty from the list. The grid populates with the procedure orders pre-configured for the selected specialty. The Procedure Order option is selected by default. To configure medication procedure orders for a specific procedure, click the Procedures field and select a procedure from the list. The list includes a list of procedures configured for the specialty in the Procedure Config practice template. Click Type to select a type of order. Click Category to select a category or stage to associate with the procedure orders. Note: If the options in the list are not relevant, double-click the top-blank row in the list and enter the appropriate stage in the Category field. Update Today's Procedure Orders

Expand the Procedure Orders section. From the Today's Procedure Orders grid, select the procedure order that you want to update.Based on the type of the selected procedure order, General procedure order or Medication procedure order is selected and the relevant data appears in the fields. Make the desired changes in the fields. Note: When you update medication procedure orders, the drug interaction window containing all the interactions opens on selecting the new medication. Modify the Patient Discharge Instructions

Click Specialty and select a specialty from the list. Click the Patient Discharge Instructions option. (Optional) Select a Procedure and Category. The grid displays the pre-configured discharge instructions associated with the selected procedure and category. Highlight a row in the Patient Discharge Instructions grid. The selected discharge instruction appears in the Discharge Instruction field. Make relevant changes to the discharge instruction. Click Update. The modified discharge instruction is updated in the Patient Discharge Instructions grid. Note: If you attempt to edit a patient discharge instruction that has a value in the Required field, an alert ask you appears to confirm your changes.
