Enter the Physical Exam for Cast and Wound Care
Use the Physical Exam section on the Cast/Wound Care template to document issues with the cast area as well as what was done for the new cast, splint, or brace. On the Home template, click the Cast/Wound Care link. The Cast/Wound Care template opens. Physical Exam panel on the Cast/Wound Care template To enter exam information, select the appropriate check boxes, as well as which provider the patient was seen by. Document what was done to the cast, splint, or brace by selecting the appropriate fields. Type any additional information in the notes section. Document the Cast and Wound Care History
You can document the surgical history of a patient and any issues with the cast, brace, splint, or wound. On the Cast/Wound Care template, expand the History panel. History panel on the Cast/Wound Care template In the History section, select the applicable issues with the cast, brace, splint, or wound. Make the desired changes in the Surgical History section. Note: This section is automatically filled with the data documented on the Intake template. You can add, edit, and remove the data as needed. Enter any additional details in the Notes field. Cast and Wound Care Workflow
You can document a patient's history, physical exams, basic assessment, and plan for the cast and wound care. The providers and clinical staff can use the Cast/Wound Care template to document the details of the cast and wound care without using the Billable Visit and Non Billable Visit templates. Sign-Off and Finalize Fracture Care Visits
Once all information has been entered, if the practice is not configured to use PAQ functionality, the provider can sign off on the template and submit charges on the Finalize Visit template.
