Document Cast and Splint Procedures
Open the IORTS Castsplint Apply template. IORTS Cast Splint Apply template Click the Type Filter field, and select the cast or splint type from the list. The grid shows only the items that match the selected type. Click the Body Part Filter field, and select the body part from the list. The grid shows only the items that match the selected body part. Select a cast or splint item from the grid. Note: Based on the selected item, the Application and Supplies fields are filled automatically. The applicable fields in the Waterproof section are also filled automatically. Documenting Cast and Splint Procedures
You can document the office procedures for the cast and splint applied. You can use the IORTS Castsplint Apply template to document the cast and splint details, repair, supplies, and waterproofing details. You can also use this template to document the appearance of the extremity after the cast or splint is removed, physician examination, and any additional details. You can configure the cast and splint application codes, supply codes, and waterproofing details on the Cast & Splint Configuration template. Access Office Procedure Templates
Open the Billable Visit template. In the Physical Exam panel, click Add below the Office Procedures grid. The IORTS Castsplint Apply template opens. IORTS Cast Splint Apply template Note: You can document only cast and splint procedures on this template. Remove Codes from a Cast or Splint
You can remove the codes from cast or splint that is not used or billed out by your practice. On the Cast & Splint Configuration practice template, expand the Cast & Splint panel. Select the desired cast or splint in the grid. The selected item displays a check mark in the first column. Click Delete. Parent topic: Manage Cast and Splint Codes

Document Strapping Procedures
You can document the strapping procedures for finger, knee, ankle, foot, and toe. Open the IORTS Castsplint Apply template. Click Strapping in the left pane. The IORTSproc Strapping template opens. IORTS Procedure Strapping template Select the appropriate check box for the strapping performed, and select the applicable side from the list. If you select Finger strapping performed or Toe strapping performed, you need to select the applicable finger or toe from the list along with the selection of side. To provide additional details, click the Comments field. Select the Performed by check box. The name of the provider who performed the procedure and the date and time of the procedure are automatically filled in the corresponding fields. Click Add to Grid. A message appears stating that the procedure has been sent to the grid. Click Save & Close. Cast/Splint, O/P Orders, and Office Procedures
Users have quick access to the Casts/Splints template, Internal O/P template and the office procedure templates. Clicking the buttons opens the perspective template.
