Add a Chief Complaint
Open the Intake template. To add a chief complaint, do one of the following: Click a blank Chief Complaint field and select a value from the list. As you make each selection, Note: The first of a cascade of picklists opens, for you to select descriptors for the complaint and the next picklist opens. When you make the final selection, the documented item fills the Chief Complaint field. Picklists for chief complaint Close out of the picklist and enter a complaint into the field. Delete a Complaint from the History of Complaints Grid
In the History of Complaint(s) grid, select a complaint. Select Edit. An editing window opens. Select Delete. The window closes and the complaint is removed from the grid. Parent topic: Chief Complaints

Edit or Delete a Chief Complaint
Click the Free Text button. Click the desired field to make changes. To erase a chief complaint, click the eraser icon for that field. Click Save & Close to save the changes you have made and return to the Billable Visit template. Parent topic: Add a Chief Complaint

You can delete a complaint that was entered on this encounter. Select the row within the grid. Select Edit. An editing window opens. Add Complaints to the List
Select in the white field below Patient Complains of. The picklist of complaints open. Select an item from the picklist or select the blank at the top of the picklist to type into the field. Chief Complaint picklist When you have entered a complaint, it moves to one of the blue fields, and the option for the next blank field is selected. You can then either add another complaint following steps 1 and 2 above, or you can add details to the complaint and move it to the grid. Parent topic: Chief Complaints
