Assessment and Plan Panel - Single Fracture

The Assessment and Plan panel enables the provider to submit a single fracture care code, document the plan, verbal counseling and next visit information. It also has quick links to cast or splint, DME, and office procedures. Documenting Cast and Splint Procedures

You can document the office procedures for the cast and splint applied. You can use the IORTS Castsplint Apply template to document the cast and splint details, repair, supplies, and waterproofing details. You can also use this template to document the appearance of the extremity after the cast or splint is removed, physician examination, and any additional details. IORTS Cast Splint Apply template The main grid displays the list of casts and splints and their associated details. You can configure the cast and splint application codes, supply codes, and waterproofing details on the Cast & Splint Configuration template. Access Office Procedure Templates

Open the Billable Visit template. In the Physical Exam panel, click Add below the Office Procedures grid. The IORTS Castsplint Apply template opens. IORTS Cast Splint Apply template Note: You can document only cast and splint procedures on this template. Documenting Office Procedures

You can document various procedures that are performed in the office. You can use the Office Procedure grid in the Physical Exam panel on the Billable Visit template to document various office procedures. This grid displays the office procedures documented for the today’s visit. Note: The cast and splint application procedures are not displayed in the Office Procedure grid. Document the Fracture Care Details of a Patient

You can add the fracture care assessment using the Fracture Care/casting/strapping template. On the Fracture Care/casting/strapping-Proc template, click the Assessment Tool link and select the diagnosis from the Fracture Casting Strapping category. Click the Add Common Assessment link and select an assessment from the Common assessment template. Click Save & Close. In Episode of Care, select either New episode or Return Visit. Select Right or Left. In the Casting section: If required, select No Cast Charge, No Supplies Charge, or No DME Charge. The code is automatically populated in the Code field when you select a diagnosis using Assessment Tool. Click Cast, Other/Additional Casting Applications, and Modification and Status to select the required values from the respective picklists. In the Splinting/Strapping section, click Splints, Additional Splinting, Strapping, and Additional Strapping to select values from the respective picklists.
