You can add a patient to the wait list manually.
To add a patient manually to the worklog, go to the
Wait List
system template and select
Add
.
The
IORTSsurg_Wait List Pop
template opens.
Fill in the patient information.
Click
Add
.
Click
Close

Remove a Patient from the Waitlist
To remove a patient from the wait list, go to the Wait List system template. Select the patient in the grid. Click Edit. The IORTssurg Wait List Pop window opens. Click Delete. Parent topic: Wait List

Update a Wait List Entry
Select an entry and click Edit. The IORTSsurg_Wait List Pop window opens. IORTS surgery wait list pop-up window Add or update surgery information. Select Original Sx Canceled Needs to Reschedule if the surgery was cancelled and needs to be rescheduled. Select Wants Earlier Date if the patient wants an earlier surgery date. Select Yes or No, for whether the patient is cleared to have surgery or not. Enter any Notes. Click Update. Click Close. Parent topic: Wait List

Wait List
The Wait List worklog enables coordinators to keep track of all patients that want an earlier surgical date or need to be rescheduled for surgery. The Wait List is a system-level template displays patients that have been added: the surgeon, patient name, procedure, clearance, phone, and any notes. Use the Launch Chart, Add, and Edit buttons to work with the Wait List. You can filter the grid by surgeon using the Surgeon field. Wait List template To make sure that the entry is tied to a patient record, users must now select the patient from a Patient Lookup window. If you attempt to type the patient information, an alert opens stating Selected record from the grid is not attached to the patient's chart. Viewing a Patient Wait List
If a patient has an active Wait List Item, you can view the wait list in two ways. You can use any of the access methods listed under Adding Patients to Appointment Wait Lists. You can also view the Wait List items for a specific patient by opening the patient appointment and selecting the Recall/WaitList tab. Parent topic: Appointment Wait Lists

Creating a Wait List Item
When the Appointment Search Ahead lookup fails to find an appointment time slot that meets the patient first preference, you can select the Wait List button and create a Wait List Item for the patient. You must complete the Patient Wait List Item window to add a Wait List Item to the Wait List for a patient. You can access the Patient Wait List window: When performing an appointment search ahead. From the Appointment Book From the patient chart To complete the Patient Wait List Item window, do the following: Enter information for Events, Service Location, time and day. Add, Edit, or Delete a Wait List Item
Once a Wait List Item has been created, you can: Add another item to the list Edit an existing item Delete an item To add, edit, or delete a wait list item, do the following: Access the patient Wait List item. Right-click to display the menu. Select one of the following options: To add a Wait List Item, select New and follow the instructions to add a patient to the appointment wait list. To edit a Wait List Item, highlight the item, select Open, make the changes to the item, and select OK. To delete a Wait List Item, highlight the item, select Delete, and select Yes to the following prompt: Do you want to Delete this Wait List Item?
