Update Records in Today's Impression/Plan Summary

The records in the Today's Impression/Plan Summary grid can be edited and updated. Open the Assessment/Plan - OPH template, expand the A/I/P Details panel, and then ensure that the DX HX/My Favourites option is selected.a/i/p details panel Double-click a record from the Today's Impression/Plan Summary.The Oph - Today's Impression/Plan Orders window opens. Document the Impression

On the Assessment/Plan - OPH template, go to the Impression section. impressions section To review findings from today's encounter, do the following: Click the Eye Summary link in the Impression section. Review the patient's information and click Close. Click an assessment in the Today’s Assessments. The selected assessment displays in the Impression section. In the Impression section, enter the side and status. Information can also be entered for the following by clicking the corresponding link: Conditions Symptoms Vision Information entered for Condition, Symptoms, and Vision appear in the Impression Details field. Enter any additional information in the Impression Details field or click My Phrases. Enter Assessments for Today's Visit

Assessments can be added to Today's Assessments in several ways, including by selecting from the patient's clinical problems or diagnosis history, the provider's list of favorite assessments, the Common Assessments template, or the diagnosis search window. New assessments can be added to various lists for the patient or the provider's My Favorites list, and they can be sorted to display in a preferred order. If a technician is acting as a scribe for the provider, select a name from the Scribe field. Review Today's Concern/Reason For Visit. Select an assessment from the grids in the following areas to add it to the Today's Assessment grid. Document a Postoperative Exam Impression and Plan

You can document an impression, plan, and return to clinic details in the Impression and Plan section of the Postoperative Exam – OPH template. Select the procedure to document by selecting the option Status Post Procedure 1 or Status Post Procedure 2. (Each procedure is documented separately.) Click the Dx Description field and select a diagnosis from the diagnosis search tool. The code associated with the diagnosis appears in the Code field. If applicable, click the Scribe field and select the scribe. To document any postoperative complications necessitating additional surgery within 30 days after cataract surgery, click the Post-op Complications link to open the Cataract Post-Op Complications template. Document an impression by selecting check boxes for any post-op impression details that apply. A paragraph builds in the large Impression text field as selections are made. Review Today's Assessments

Ophthalmic providers can review previously documented diagnoses/assessments that were selected for the patient for this encounter listed in the Today's Assessments grid in the Diagnosis panel on the Finalize - OPH template. CAUTION: A diagnosis added or modified on the Finalize - OPH template does not appear in the Impression/Plan Summary grid. However, it appears in the Diagnosis History and in the Chart Note. Copy Assessments from Previous Encounters

You can copy assessments from previous encounters of a patient to the current encounter instead of manually adding them. OpenNextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open theSOAPtemplate, and then expand theAssessment/Planpanel. Select Dx/AP History. The Assessment, Diagnosis Copy Forward window opens. Note: By default, the All Assessments option is selected and records are displayed for the default duration configured in the Copy Previous Visit Information section of the Practice Configuration template. To copy assessments from a specific encounter, select Encounter Assessments. To filter the records in the grid, enter the search criteria inFilter by, and then selectSearch.
