To insert a dictation, select and drag the play head to where you want to insert the new audio.
Select

.
Begin speaking.
The new audio is inserted at the designated location, and a corresponding time stamp is displayed on the left.
Note:
If you select and hold in the audio waves, the
Delete to End
option appears for you to delete the dictation from the selected point.

Overwrite Dictation
You can overwrite all or a portion of a previous dictation from a selected point in the dictation. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open a dictation job. Record a dictation. Select the section tag you want to edit. Select Insert in the audio waves or timeline until you see Overwrite. Overwritten dictation view Select the audio waves from where you want to begin overwriting the original audio. Select Record Dictation. The new audio overwrites the original recorded audio from that time onward. Delete Dictation from a Point
You can use the Delete to End option to delete the audio from a selected point of your dictation. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open a dictation job. Select the tag you want to edit. Select and hold the audio wave where you have to delete from. Delete to End appears. Delete to end option Select Delete to End. A message appears for you to confirm the deletion. Select Delete. Record Dictation with Tags
Open NextGen® Mobile. Open a dictation job. Select the tag you want to dictate into.If the tag does not contain previously recorded audio, the recording begins immediately, and the STOP icon appears. If the tag contains previously recorded audio, the REC icon appears, and you have to select the tag again to record. Begin speaking.The audio waves track your dictation, and the timer displays the current location of the recording head and the total duration of the recording. If recorded audio exists, the new dictation is added to the end of the recording. To stop or pause the recording in the current tag, select the tag that you are dictating.The transcribed text of your dictation appears in the streaming text box. To resume dictating in the same tag, select the tag, and resume speaking.Your new dictation is added to the end of the existing audio recording, and text capture. Record Dictation without Tags
Open NextGen® Mobile. Open a dictation job. Select Record Dictation, and then begin speaking. Record dictation without tags while the text box is open Audio waves track your dictation, and a timer displays the duration. To stop or pause your dictation, select Stop.The text capture of your dictation appears in the streaming text box. Recording view After you complete your dictation, select Send. Note: When the transcription system completes the transcription of the dictated notes, you can edit the dictation text without changing the associated audio file. The dictation is ready for editing in NextGen® Mobile, and the job is removed from your job list. The dictation completion icon appears on the Schedule view. Note: To add observations about the dictation in the NextGen Speech-to-Text Survey window, select Take Survey > NextGen Dictation, enter your feedback, and then select Finish and Submit. Listen to Dictation
After you have recorded your dictation, you can listen to the playback. By default, all audio plays through the speakers of the device. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open a dictation job. View to record a dictation To change the output and select the receiver or headphones, select Speaker. To listen to a recorded dictation, do one of the following: To listen to the audio file from the beginning, select rewind , and then select play . To skip ahead, select the audio waves at the desired time, and then select play . If the dictation contains tags, select a tag to skip ahead to that section, and then select play . Record Dictation with Tags When the Text Box is Open
Open NextGen® Mobile. Open a dictation job. Select the tag to dictate into. Dictation using tags If the tag does not contain previously recorded audio, the recording begins immediately, and the Stop Start icon appears. If the tag contains previously recorded audio, the REC Stop icon appears. You must select the tag again to record. Begin speaking. The text capture of your dictation appears in the streaming text box. If recorded audio exists, the new dictation is added to the end of the recording. If you select anywhere on the text while recording dictation, the text is inserted at the selected location, but the audio is added to the end of the existing audio file. Note: If using NextGen® Speech-to-Text, say the month name instead of the number. Say slash between the month, day, and year.
