Attach Images to a Dictation Job

You can attach up to five images to a dictation job. You can attach images from your camera and library to NextGen® Mobile dictation streaming, NextGen® Mobile rhythm dictation, and classic dictation jobs. You can also annotate a dictation job image and delete an image from the dictation job. Note: To ensure that confidential patient health information remains secure, you cannot save images taken within NextGen® Mobile to your device’s image library or add images from your device’s image library to a job. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open a dictation job that you want to attach images for. Note: You cannot attach images to a tap template job. To take a photo, select Camera icon. The camera options appear. To take a photo from your camera, select Take Photo, and then take a photo. To retake a photo, you can select Retake. The image appears. Optional: To add an annotation to highlight a portion of the image, select Paint icon, and then draw the necessary mark with your finger. You can change th

In NextGen® Mobile, you can choose the dictation workflow according to your preference and clinical needs. The three primary dictation workflows are the following: Mobile Dictation Streaming Offers real-time display of your dictation text while you speak using tap tagging and flexible editing options. Mobile Dictation Rhythm Features tap tagging and flexible editing options. Classic Features voice tagging and traditional transcription. NextGen Mobile Dictation Classic Workflow You can use the classic dictation workflow (non-rhythm) to dictate a job without handling the editing and delivery. Add Dictation Jobs

Before you begin You must configure Access to Mobile Job List for your permission group in NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal. You can search for, filter, and delete recorded dictation jobs in Jobs in Hub. You can add jobs for an unscheduled patient encounter and make records of phone calls, texts, or emails. You can also restore a deleted job to the job list by opening a case in NextGen Healthcare Success Community. Note: If the Access to Image Only Job List option is turned on in NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal, you can only view image jobs and cannot create jobs. Open NextGen® Mobile.Hub opens. Select Jobs.Details of the available jobs on the current date appear. If another provider queue is added to your job list, the provider job queue indicator appears with the job type. Record Dictation with Tags

Open NextGen® Mobile. Open a dictation job. Select the tag you want to dictate into.If the tag does not contain previously recorded audio, the recording begins immediately, and the STOP icon appears. If the tag contains previously recorded audio, the REC icon appears, and you have to select the tag again to record. Begin speaking.The audio waves track your dictation, and the timer displays the current location of the recording head and the total duration of the recording. If recorded audio exists, the new dictation is added to the end of the recording. To stop or pause the recording in the current tag, select the tag that you are dictating.The transcribed text of your dictation appears in the streaming text box. To resume dictating in the same tag, select the tag, and resume speaking.Your new dictation is added to the end of the existing audio recording, and text capture.
