Prerequisites for Using NextGen® Mobile
To use NextGen® Mobile seamlessly, you must do the following: Apply NextGen® Enterprise API licenses. Set up System Administrator and File Maintenance permissions and configurations. Link the NextGen® Enterprise user credentials to your provider in NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal. Log on to the NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal
After you set up as a NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal user, you receive an email with username and a secure link to set up your password. After setting up the password, you can log on to the NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal with your username and password. Two-factor authentication (2FA) is mandatory for the first log on, logging from a new browser, or a browser that is not been saved to the NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal for cookie-based authentication. In a web browser, open the URL of the NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal. The logon page opens. Enter your username and password, and then select Sign In. Two Factor Authentication opens. Select SMS Authentication (text message) or Email Authentication. Note: If your mobile number is not linked with your account, you must register it with the country code. Add Existing Users to Clinics
Open NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal. Select Manage Clinics, and then select Users. Select Add Existing User.The Select User page in Add Existing User Wizard opens and lists available users. Search for and select a user, and then select Next.The Verify Data page opens. In NextGen Username, enter the username to ensure that the NextGen® Enterprise username is linked in NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal.The additional information fields are automatically filled. In Active Directory Account, search for and then select a directory.You can link your active directory account with the NextGen® Mobile account. If you deactivate the Active Directory account, the NextGen® Mobile account is automatically deactivated. In Additional Information, verify and update the user information if needed, and then select Next.The Verify Notification Preferences page opens. Pair NextGen® Mobile with Desktops
You can pair NextGen® Mobile with multiple desktops. Up to 100 devices can be displayed on the Paired Devices window. Open NextGen® Mobile. Select Direct to Desktop. The Dictation window opens. Dictation view with select a device and pair a device options Select Pair a Device. The OTP verification view opens. Open NextGen D2D on the desktop to pair. NextGen D2D window Select Pair New Device. A four digit OTP appears. Enter the OTP in NextGen® Mobile. Select Verify and Proceed. A message appears confirming that the device is paired. Select OKAY. The Dictation window opens indicating that the desktop device is connected. To pair another desktop, select . The Paired Devices window opens. Select Pair a Device. The OTP verification view opens. In the Settings view, you can configure various options for your features. Settings Description Manage Notifications Enables you to manage Draft Review, Pending E-Sign, and Job Alerts in NextGen® Mobile. Vibrate on Record Briefly vibrates when you select Record for the dictation. Note: The Vibrate on Record option is not available for the Apple® iPod® or iPad® users. Vibrate on Stop Briefly vibrates when you select Stop on the recording. Note: The Vibrate on Record option is not available for the Apple® iPod® or iPad® users. Enable Bluetooth Connects to a bluetooth microphone paired with your device. Add User Accounts
User accounts are set up with user information that includes personal, system, and network information. Note: User accounts in NextGen® Mobile are different from those in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. However, the two accounts are linked when you set the NextGen® Enterprise defaults in NextGen® Mobile. Open NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal. Select Manage Clinics, and then select Users. In Users. select Add New User.The Enter User Information page opens in Create New User Wizard. In NextGen Username, enter the username to ensure your NextGen® Enterprise username is linked in NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal, and then enter the additional information.
