NextGen Mobile Dictation Streaming Workflow

With NextGen® Mobile dictation streaming, you can do the following: Dictate your job with or without displaying the streaming text. You can edit the dictated note using keyboard and verbal commands when the transcription system processes and completes the transcription of the dictated note. If you have macros set up for your dictator profile, you can use them to quickly insert snippets of text into your dictation. You can attach images to your job. You can make annotations on the attached images and add text boxes to the images. When you are ready to transmit your job, you can select an edit option that controls how your job is handled when you transmit it, and whether it returns to you for additional review. You can choose from several clinical workflow options, including sending to NextGen® Enterprise EHR, sending to transcription, or performing a device edit. NextGen Mobile Dictation Classic Workflow

You can use the classic dictation (non-rhythm) workflow to naturally dictate the narrative of the patient visit. NextGen® Mobile handles the editing and delivery, and you are free to perform other tasks. Editing the Rhythm and Classic Dictation

After you have dictated, you can use Insert and Overwrite to insert new dictation or overwrite what you have already recorded. You can also use the Delete to End option to remove part of your dictation. Insert Dictation You can insert a new audio to a recorded dictation. Overwrite Dictation You can overwrite previously recorded audio in a dictation file. Delete Dictation from a Point You can permanently delete audio from a selected point of your dictation. Google™ Speech Recognition Engine (SRE) users can use the following punctuation commands for dictation: Note: Notepad on the Windows® 11 operating system does not support dictation and navigation commands. Holding Jobs

In the NextGen® Mobile dictation streaming, NextGen® Mobile dictation, and classic dictation workflows, you can hold a job to save the dictation and send it later. You can return to the dictation job view to pause a job after you have dictated. The job appears in the job list displaying the patient’s name in red and a status indicating that they are on hold. Your current audio is saved and you can return to the patient later to finish and send your dictation. You can select the Job Filters Filter icon icon, and then select Hold Jobs to view the held jobs. Note: Jobs on hold for more than 60 days are automatically deleted.
