Create, Update, and Delete Custom Words to the Personal Dictionary

Before you begin Ensure that you are a NextGen® Mobile Plus and NextGen® Speech-to-Text user. To ensure accurate dictation results, you can add custom words to your speech profile and save them in categories, such as person names, location names, medicines, procedures, and diagnoses. For example, you can replace similar-sounding provider names with different spellings, such as Carter and Karter. You can also add abbreviations, such as CHF, to appear in the transcription when you dictate congestive heart failure. Note: Dictionaries added in NextGen® Mobile are available in NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal and conversely. Edit and Delete Text Macros

You can edit and delete a macro in Settings in NextGen® Mobile. Open NextGen® Mobile. Select Settings. Select the dictator you want to create macros for. In Edit Dictator, select Macros. Note: The Macros option is available if you use Google™ Speech Recognition Engine (SRE) in NextGen® Mobile. In Macros, the My Macros tab displays the existing macros with SOAP sections if a SOAP section is added to the macros. My Macros list in Macros view By default, the macros appear in the last-created order. You can sort the macros in alphabetical order and based on the selected SOAP sections. You can also delete macros. To edit a macro, do one of the following: Select the macro, and then select Edit. Swipe the macro name from right to left, and then select the edit icon. Edit a Copy of a Clinic Macro

CLINIC MACROS are configured by a clinic administrator in NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal and you can be used during dictation. You can edit a copy of a clinic macro in the NextGen® Mobile Settings view. The macro gets saved under MY MACROS and the copied macro is inserted during dictation. For more information on clinic macros configuration, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest NextGen®Mobile Solutions Cloud Portal User Guide. Open NextGen® Mobile. On the menu bar, select Settings. The Settings view opens. Select the dictator you want to create macros for. The Edit Dictator view opens. Select Macros. Add, Edit, and Delete Macros for User Accounts

Open NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal. Select your clinic, select Manage Clinics, and then select Users. In Users, search for and select a user, and then select the Macros tab. Select Add New Macro.The Add Macro page in Create New Macro Wizard opens. Enter the name of the macro you want to create.If you want to create an ambient listening macro, turn on Ambient, and select a mode. Standard mode adds only the defined macro without extra words during dictation. Ambient Complete mode adds additional words between the existing macro text based on the context. Select a SOAP section, and then enter the activation phrase and the text you want the macro to generate.You can use Load Macro from file to add the macro text from your local file by overriding the existing content. Select Next to assign dictators, and then select Save. Note: By default, all dictators are added to the Assigned Dictators section. You can add or remove dictators. The macro is added. Edit SOAP Settings

Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view. Select Today's Visit. Note: You must add or select an unlocked encounter. Select Dictate.SOAP Note opens. Select SOAP Settings, and select the appropriate options. To create macros, do the following: Select Create New Macro. Enter a macro name and macro text. Optional: To turn on NextGen® Ambient Assist macros, select Ambient, and select a mode. Standard adds defined words without additional words outside of dictation. In NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal, you can create macros for a content group to be used for a specific group of providers. Note: The content group macros that you create are available in both NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal and NextGen® Mobile CLINIC MACROS. For more information on clinic macros, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest NextGen®Mobile Solutions iOS User Guide. Open NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal. Select Manage Clinics, and then select Content Groups. Content Groups opens displaying the list of available content groups in alphabetical order along with the number of users in each group. Search for and select a content group, and then select Macros. Select Add New Macro.The Add Macro window opens.
