Add an Injection and Aspiration Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Kit
On the Admin Configuration system template, expand the Injection & Aspiration PRP Kit Configuration panel. Enter the kit details in the fields below the Kit#, Kit Lot #, Manufacturer, and Par Level column of the grid. Select the expiration date in the field below the Expiration Date column. A Calender window opens. Enter the quantity in the field below the Quantity column. Select Add to save the kit details in the grid. Reactivate an Injection and Aspiration Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Kit
On the Admin Configuration system template, expand the Injection & Aspiration PRP Kit panel. Select the Inactive option on top of the PRP Kit/Lot # Inventory Management grid. Deactivate an Injection & Aspiration Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Kit
The inactive Injection and aspiration platelet rich plasma (PRP) Kits do not appear in the Injections and Aspirations template panels. On the Admin Configuration system template, expand the Injection & Aspiration PRP Kit panel. Select the Active option on top of the PRP Kit/Lot # Inventory Management grid. Document the Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Injection Procedure Manually
You can add up to two medications for a PRP injection procedure. On the MICS Injections/Aspirations template, expand the Procedure Type panel. Select the Procedure Type as PRP Injection. PRP Injection Only Panel Select the sub-location, if turned on. Enter the procedure information. From the Source field, select the source of medication. The MLTS Dbpl Medication Name picklist opens. Select the medication being administered in the Medication field. The MLTS Dbpl Med Ndc Lot Inj picklist opens. Select the lot number for the medication in the Lot Number field. The Quantity keypad opens. Enter the quantity being given, and select OK. Note: For single dose medications, if you enter the less quantity than the vial amount, a confirmation message appears to confirm wasting the remaining quantity. You must select Yes. Document the Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Injection Procedure by Scanning the Barcode
You can document the Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) Injection procedure by scanning the barcode printed on the medication package. You can enter the source, drug, lot number, unit type, expiration date and J-Code for a medications by scanning the barcode. You must select the quantity manually. Note: You can add up to two medications for an PRP injection procedure. On the MICS Injections/Aspirations template, expand the Procedure Type panel. Select the Procedure Type as Injection. PRP Injection Only Panel Select the sub-location, if turned on. Enter the procedure information. Select Scan Barcode. Scan the medication barcode printed on the medication package. Note: If the inventory contains multiple medications matching the scanned barcode in the inventory, a list of medications appears, where for you tocan select the requirednecessary medication.
