Updating Medication Information
You can update the manufacturer, drug description or unit type of any medication. For non-billable medications, you can also update the entries for J-Code and NDC number. Although you cannot modify the J-Code or NDC# of a billable medication (because that information pulls from the SIM library), you can change the status of a medication entry to Inactive (see Inactivate a Medication), and then re-add the medication with the new J-Code or NDC from the SIM library. Update a Medication Adherence
Select the medication in the Medication Review grid. The details for the medication are pulled into the fields below the grid. Select a new adherence comment from the Adherence field list. Click Update. Parent topic: Reconcile Medications

Update an Adjusted Medication
Once the grid loads with the medication and adjusted quantities, you can update the quantity before sending it to the main inventory grid. Select the medication from the grid. The number in the New Qty column into the New Quantity field below the grid. Change the quantity in the New Quantity field. Select Update. Parent topic: Import Inventory Adjustments

Field filters
You can use the fields above the grid to search the grid entries by Manufacturer, Drug Name, Unit Type, J-Code and/or NDC number. These fields take partial entries. As you type in a field, the grid shows results that match your entry. Note: To clear the search fields, select the Eraser icon to the right of the fields. Parent topic: Filter Medication Information

Update a Medicaton on the Oncology Medication History Grid
You can only update a medication record entered for the current encounter. Access the Onc Treatment Summary template and scroll to the Oncology Medication History panel. Locate and select the medication to be updated on the Oncology Medication History grid. The system populates the fields with data from the selected record. Update a Medication and Instructions
On the IORTS Cfg Surgery Schedule system template, expand the Pre & Post Op Medication Instructions panel. In the Category grid, select the desired category. All the available medications and corresponding instructions for the selected category appear in the right grid. Select the medication to be updated. The fields below the grid displays the medication name and the corresponding instructions. Make changes to the medication name or instructions. Click Update.
