Update a Picklist Item

You can update any active entry in a picklist grid, to change how it appears in the picklist. Select the item in the grid. The item text enters the field below the grid. Select the field to edit the text. Select Update to save the changes. Parent topic: Additional Procedure Information

Additional Procedure Information

The Additional Procedure Information panel has grids used to configure picklists for the following fields on the MICS Injections/Aspirationsand MICS MedAdmin OPHtemplates: Technique Anesthetic Gage (of Needle) Improvement Appearance (of fluid aspirated) Medical Necessity Each of the grids in the Additional Procedure Information panel comes pre-loaded with entries, and has a pair of up/down arrows to the right, that you can use to arrange the order that entries in the grid appear in the picklist. The order of items in the grid is the order that items will appear in the picklist. The procedures for adding entries to grids, updating entries,making entries inactive so that they do not show in the picklist, and re-ordering them are the same for all of the grids. Re-Ordering Grid Picklist Entries

The order that entries appear in the grids in the Administering Template Body Part/Location panel is the same order that they appear in the corresponding picklists. You can move items up or down in the grid order to change their picklist order. Putting commonly used selections at the top of picklists can speed up selections when recording patient care. Select an item in the grid. Select the up or down arrow to the right of the grid, to move the item up or down in the picklist order. Edit Database Picklist Entries and Order

You can change database picklist entries and change the order that items appear in the picklist. Select the picklist in the Database Picklists grid. Find and select the item in the Picklists Values grid. The item entries pull into the fields below the grid columns field. To change an entry in the fields, select it, and then and edit the text. To change the order of the picklist, select any item in the list and use the arrows above the grid to move it up or down in the order. To sort the list alphabetically by any column with an entry, select the ABC button above that column. Select Update. The updated item appears in the grid. Parent topic: Edit a Database Picklist

Edit Picklist Values and Order

You can change picklist values and change the order that values appear in the picklist. Select the picklist in the Picklists grid. Select the value in the Picklists Values grid. The value is pulled into the Value field. Edit the value entry, and then select Update. The updated value is added to the grid at the bottom of the list. To change the order of the picklist, select any value in the list and use the up or down arrows below the grid to move it up or down in the order. To sort the list alphabetically, select the Sort Alphabetically checkbox. Note: Changes made will not appear in NextGen® Enterprise EHR until the picklists have been refreshed. Change the Order of Radiology Picklist Values

On the Radiology Configuration practice template, expand the Radiology Picklists panel. Select a picklist from the Picklist grid. The picklist values fill the Picklist Values grid.
