Document Post-Op Visit Details
You can document a patient's post-operative details and physical findings. You can use the Post Op template to record the post-operative findings, including the patient's pre-operative status, history of present illness, and physical exam findings. On the Intake template, select the visit type as Post Op Visit.The Post-Op template opens. In the Reason for Visit panel, select Surgery Follow Up from the HPI list.If you do not see the surgery follow up option in the list, use Search, and select Surgery Follow Up from the search results. Note: To enter the text HPI portion of the visit, you can use the Generic HPI template. The Surgery Follow-up - HPI template opens. Surgery Follow-up Select the post-operative status of the patient. Documenting Obstetrics Postpartum Visits
You can enter postpartum details in the OB Postpartum template. The OB Postpartum template is used during a postpartum visit. To document a postpartum visit, you must select Obstetrics as the specialty and OB - Postpartum or Document Pregnancy Outcome as the visit type. Note: The OB Postpartum visit type can only be used after every pregnancy. If a patient is seen for a wound check after delivery, you must select the Post-Operative Visit. If a patient has just delivered and the practice want to document the details of the delivery immediately, you can select the Document Pregnancy Outcome visit type. The OB Postpartum template includes the addition of the Postpartum Details and Pregnancy Outcome panels. Compiling this data into a single template improves the workflow. Document Patient History for Post-Operative Visits
You can document a patient's history such as details of the last injection, pain, medications, and allergies for a post-operative visit. On the Non Billable Visit template, expand the History panel. Enter the details of the last injection in the following order: Click the Last Inj field, select the last injection date, and then click OK. Enter the duration of the relief in hours, days, weeks, and months. Enter the details of pain as follows: Indicate the severity of the pain. Click the Pain Scale field, and select the pain scale from one to ten from the list. Click the Status % field, select the percentage of the pain status, and then click OK.
