Set up Refresh Template Trigger

The Refresh Template action refreshes the display of template structure and/or data at run time. Follow the applicable steps in General Trigger Setup. Select the Refresh Template action . Set Up Refresh Encounter UI Trigger

Open Template Editor. To open the Triggers window, do one of the following: Right-click anywhere on the template, and then select Triggers from the shortcut menu. On the Main toolbar, select Triggers. From the View menu, select Triggers. Select a specific field within the template. Select Triggers, select View > Triggers, or right-click the selected field, and then select Triggers from the shortcut menu. Note: The Copy and Paste buttons appear on the Triggers window only when you select a specific field on the template. Follow the applicable steps in General Trigger Setup. Select Refresh Encounter UI. Set up a specific condition for the Refresh Encounter UI action to be triggered. Select OK and save your template. Set up Refresh Data Grid Trigger

The Refresh Data Grid action refreshes the display of information in the preselected data sheet/grid field at run time. Follow the applicable steps in General Trigger Setup. Select the Refresh Data Grid action. The Refresh Data Grid window opens. Select the specific data sheet/grid you want to be refreshed at run time. Select Script It. The Script Clipboard window opens with the script of the label. To copy the script to clipboard, select Copy to Clipboard. To save the information and close the window, select OK. Change a Trigger

You can edit the field, event, action, or condition for an existing trigger. The edit function also provides a quick way for you to add a trigger based on an existing, simple trigger. This capability cannot be used for certain triggers that are tied to cross-reference tables (for example, the Assign Field Value trigger tied to the trig_mf_xref table). To open the Triggers window, do one of the following: Right-click anywhere on the template, and then select Triggers from the shortcut menu. On the Main toolbar, select Triggers. From the View menu, select Triggers. Select a specific field within the template. Select Triggers, select View > Triggers, or right-click the selected field, and then select Triggers from the shortcut menu. Information entered for the selected trigger appear in the Trigger, Condition,

Create Additional Triggers for the Same Field

You can quickly add certain triggers based on existing triggers to the same field and then edit them. This functionality can save time when you have to make changes to a trigger with multiple mappings, such as the Upload Extended Data trigger. Right-click the template field that you want to copy triggers from, and select Triggers from the shortcut menu. The Triggers window opens. Select the trigger you want to copy. Information entered for the selected trigger, appears in the Trigger, Condition, Parameter, and Comment boxes. Select Copy. Select Paste. The Paste Triggers window opens. The Find and Replace With boxes both contain the name of the same field. To copy the Condition and/or Parameters for the field triggers, select the applicable check box. Condition is selected by default. To copy disabled triggers, select the Copy Disabled check box. This option is checked by default. Select OK. The selected triggers are copied. You can edit them as needed. Save your template. Parent topic:
