Set up Modify Patient Trigger

The Modify Patient action triggers the display of the Update Patient Information window in NextGen® Enterprise EHR at run time. From the Modify Patient Information window, you can edit patient demographics and other information. The History tab of the window lists the changes you make. If you change the patient's name, the new name appears on the Title bar of the NextGen® Enterprise EHR main window. The Title bar also displays changes to the patient's date of birth, medical record number, gender, and Social Security number if practice preferences are set to display these fields. A Modify Patient option is also available on the File menu in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR application. Overview of Patient Implantable Device Trigger

The Patient Implantable Device trigger enables you to insert, update, delete, or remove a patient's implantable device information from a template to the Implantable Device module. The trigger also enables you to link or unlink procedures and add notes to the Implantable Device module. Set up View Category Trigger

The View Category action automatically enables View Category mode in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Follow the applicable steps in General Trigger Setup. Select the View Category action. The Select Category window opens. Select an existing category. To save the information and close the window, select OK. Set up GET Template Notification Data Trigger

The Get Template Notification Data trigger can be used to store and/or display data sent from the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) when a user performs certain actions in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For example, the trigger can be executed when a user selects an annotation on an active image, selects finding or action hyperlinks in the Findings Grid, or updates the patient's reason for visit. Note: This trigger is available only from a Template Notify event on a Medical Records template. Before you create this trigger, set up a text data entry field or variable on your template to hold the notification parameter. If you set up Template Popup options for a finding, procedure, or lab order in a GET profile, use this trigger together with a Template Pop-Up trigger. The Get Template Notification Data trigger pulls the name of the Popup template into the notification parameter field, and the Template Pop-Up trigger launches that template. Set up Launch External Application Trigger

The Launch External Application action allows you to launch the associated external applications. For further information about external applications, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the External Applications User Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. Follow the applicable steps in General Trigger Setup. Select the Launch External Application action. The Launch External Application window opens. Select the application name from the list. The list displays external applications that were previously configured using the EXTERNAL APPLICATION SETUP window in System Administrator. Select OK and save your template.
