Manage User Preferences

  1. From the Menu bar, select Tools, and then select Preferences.
    The User Preferences window opens.
  2. To set the default background color for templates, in the General tab, do one of the following :
    • From the Template Color list, select one of the standard colors.
    • Select Custom Color to create a custom color using the Color window.
  3. To turn the Auto Save option on or off, do the following:
    1. Select the Use Auto Save check box.
    2. Select the Up or Down arrow to set the Execution Time in minutes.
      The default is set to 20 minutes.
    You can automatically save the template you are currently working on at specified time intervals. The Auto Save option is not selected by default.
  4. To turn the warning message for overlapping active images on or off, select or clear the Warn on active image(s) overlapping other fields check box.
    You can display a message when one or more active images overlap other fields on a template. The warning message is selected by default.
  5. To set the text, background, and alternate row colors for data grids, do the following:
    1. In the Editor Grid Colors section, from the Text, Background, or Alternate Row list, select one of the standard colors or select Custom Color to create a custom color using the Color window.
    2. To reset the default colors, select Defaults.
      You can select the colors you want to use for text and background colors and alternate row colors for grids that display in Template Editor window, such as the triggers list in the Triggers window or the data sheet fields list in the Data Sheet Properties window. The defaults are black text, white background, and no alternating row colors.
  6. In the CheckBox tab, enter the new values if required.
    The default is Y/1 for Checked and N/0 for Unchecked.
  7. In the Edit Box tab, select the Enable 3D check box.
    The Preview section shows the 3D versus 2D appearance.
  8. To select default colors for unselected and selected Active Text, do the following:
    1. From the Unselected list, select one of the available colors, or select Custom Color to create a custom color using the Color window.
    2. From the Selected list, select one of the available colors, or select Custom Color to create a custom color using the Color window.
    The default color for Unselected Active Text is blue and the default color for Selected Active Text is purple.
  9. Select OK.
