The online help content regularly receives updates irrespective of the release cycle, so that you get only the latest information for your queries.
Offline Help	Opens the offline help for Template Editor.
About Template Editor	Displays the current version of Template Editor.

File Menu

Command Function New Opens a new template for the selected template type. New Sub Template Creates a new sub template for the selected template type. Open Displays the Open window. Close Closes the current template. Save Saves the current template. Save As Template Sets Displays the Save As Template Sets window that enables you to save the current template to the selected template set(s). Copy Template Displays the Copy Template window that enables you to copy the current template. Display As Displays the Display As window that enables you to enter a template display name for the current template. Delete Displays the Delete window that enables you to delete the current template or template snippet. Open User Workspace Opens the user workspace for the selected template type. New Snippet Creates a new template snippet for the selected template type. Log Off Logs off Template Editor. Displays the Template Editor Logon window for you to exit the application or log back on. Exit Completely

Template Types

NextGen® Enterprise EHR offers the following template groups: Template Group Description Demographics Template Demographics Popup Demographics Extended Popup Demographics Extended Popup View Demographics templates store a patient's demographic information, such as the patient's address, employer, primary and referring providers, emergency contact, and insurance information. You can customize Demographic templates to include any patient-related information needed at your facility. Note: You can set an Enterprise Preference to enable practices to edit demographic extended popup data from other practices within the enterprise. The Edit demographic ext data across enterprise preference is set in File Maintenance. Status Bar

The Status bar displays the following: Status bar Function Selected Field Displays the currently selected template field. AutoSave Status Indicates whether the AutoSave option is turned on or off. User/Admin Mode Displays if Template Editor is in User or NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine Admin Mode. The UpdateTemplateHashKeys program is used to set the database to User Mode. NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine Admin Mode is available only after NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine lockdown. Note: Admin Mode is not available to users. Template Type Shows whether the currently open template is a user-defined (User) or NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine (available only after NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine lockdown). Data Indicates amount of data entered into the template. Fields Indicates number of fields used in the template. Position Indicates vertical and horizontal position of the selected field.
