Events
The following table lists all field events that can be used to trigger actions. Event availability is based on the field type.

Event | Description |
---|---|
Click | A check box is selected to either select or clear it. A button, label, data entry (edit) field, active text, or active image is selected. The Click event can launch a picklist. |
Click/Entry | An edit field is entered either by a mouse click, a Go To Field trigger, or "tabbing." Combines the functions of the Click and Entry events to provide a single trigger to launch a picklist. This event applies to edit fields only. |
Copy Forward | Data in a field is copied forward from one encounter to another. |
Double Click | A row in a data sheet/grid is double-clicked. |
Download Complete | Data download from the web browser field is complete. |
Edit | A user modifies the associated field. |
Entry | A field is entered either by a mouse click, a Goto Field trigger, or "tabbing." |
Equipment Notify | New data from the optical equipment interface is available. |
Exit | A field is exited. |
Item Selected | A radio button in a group is selected. This event applies to radio buttons only. |
List Pick | A particular choice is made from a picklist, number pad, calendar, or other window. |
Panel Expand | A panel expands when you double-click the header. |
Panel Collapse | A panel collapses when you double-click the header. |
Populate | A field is populated (has a value) when the template is opened. |
Row Selected | A row in a data sheet/grid is selected. |
Save | A template is saved. |
Template Notify | A component notifies the template at run time when certain selections or actions take place. For example: The GET component sends data when a user selects an annotation on an active image, selects a finding or action hyperlink in the Findings Grid, or updates the patient's reason for visit. The Communication component sends data when a user selects or selects a button or option. |
