You can delete either a user-defined template or
NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine to remove it from the templates_table in the database. The deleted template does not display on an encounter or in the list of templates available for selection.
CAUTION:
You cannot delete a template if it has been used in the patient's chart. You cannot re-use the name of a deleted template on a new template unless you remove all references to the deleted template from the database.
Any native field with or without data that was created on the template is not deleted if it was saved to a NextGen® Enterprise EHR encounter at run time. The field remains in the fields_list table in the database. If a field on the deleted template is shared with another template, it is also retained.
