Delete a Run Command

You can delete a run command in the Run Commands window. Open Template Editor. On the main toolbar, select Run Commands .The Run Commands window opens. Under the Master list, select the command that needs to be deleted.The command appears in the Details section of the Run Commands window. Under the Details section, select the command.The command function appears in the Commands section below in the Run Commands window. Remove the command function from the Commands field. Create a Run Command

On the Run Commands window, you can create run command to customize the controls such as radio buttons, text fields, buttons, and checkboxes of the required NextGen Adaptive Content Engine template. Open Template Editor. On the main toolbar, select Run Commands .The Run Commands window opens. To insert the command, do one of the following: Enter { in the Command section to display the list of available functions and select the required function. Do the following: From the Action list, select the required action script. Select the ellipsis button to display the calculate window. Select or modify the required fields. Select OK. Select color from the list. Select Apply. Note: The command is displayed in the Command field. In the Details section, select Add. Under the Conditions section, enter the required conditions in the tabs. Note: Conditions use standard trigger condition syntax. Checked decides whether a menu item has a checked status shown on it. Run Command Window

You can view and run the functions from the Run Commands window. Field Description Master Grid to view all the created commands. The list will be sorted alphabetically in ascending order. Displays details like Command Name, Display As, Context, Comment, Tool tip, Menu Image, Checked Condition, etc. within the grid. Clear Clear enables you to clear the text in the data entry fields below including the selected conditions like Checked/Enabled/Show. Script It icon Script It icon enables you to open the script board for the user to view/correct the script. Add Add enables you to add the data entry fields like command name, comment, menu context, etc. Update Update enables you to update the data entry fields like command name, comment, menu context, etc. Remove Remove enables you to remove the data entry fields like command name, comment, menu context, etc. Command Name Displays the run command name for reference. Run Command

The Run Commands feature allows you to create, manage, and customize commands for various controls in templates, enabling flexible modifications to NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine templates. You can create and view various run commands for controls such as radio buttons, text fields, buttons, and check boxes. You can also update and delete the saved commands, if required. You can use the run command to customize the existing NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine templates such as adding or updating fields, changing the background image, and size, switching from sub-template to template, applying triggers, changing the template name, and so forth. Set up a Run Command Trigger

Run command enables you to create triggers for controls such as radio buttons, text fields, buttons, and checkboxes. Follow the applicable steps in General Trigger Setup. Select the Run Command action.The Run Command window opens. Select Run Command or Show as Menu Item option. From the Command or Menu list, select the command. Select the Manage Commands button to display the Run Commands window. Update the commands as required in the Run Commands window. To save the information and close the window, select OK. Update a Group

You can update a group with template and sub-template controls on the #Groups window. Open Template Editor. Open the required template or sub-template. On the main toolbar, select #Groups .The Group Detail window opens. Select Groups button.The #Groups window opens. Select the existing group and make the necessary changes. Note: You can not update the implicit groups of a template. Select Update.The group is updated. Select OK. Select the updated group from the Group list, on the Group Detail window. To add the fields to the group, select the required fields from the Available Template Fields section, and then select Add->.The selected fields are added to the Fields in Group section. To remove the fields from the group, select the required fields from the Fields in Group section, and then select <-Remove.The selected fields are removed from the group.
