Create a Trigger Script

You can create trigger scripts. On the main toolbar, select the Trigger Functions icon. The Trigger Scripts window opens. Select the ellipsis button next to the Trigger Script list. The Script Creation window opens. In Script Name, enter your name. In Parameters, enter your parameter, select Ref and Value from the list, and then select Add. Note: Parameter name must not start with a number or use an existing name. To clear parameter, select the parameter, and then select Clear. To update parameter, select the parameter, and then select Update. To delete parameter, select the parameter, and then select Delete. In the Template Type Association list, select the type of template. In the Comments box, enter your comments for the script. Select Add. The script is added in the Script Creation grid. A trigger script name must be unique. The added script takes the prefix as NextGen Adaptive Content Engine if application is launched through NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine Admin mode, else USR f

Script Functions

Script functions are pre-defined and easy to use in the Trigger Functions and Run Commands that helps in reducing the design time and maintenance of a template. You can set the caption, change the background, color, tooltip, and so forth for the template controls through script functions without writing multiple lines of code and manually setting up the trigger events. You can enter { in the trigger functions and run command main window to display the list of available functions. You can select an appropriate function and select Enter to insert it into the script body at the cursor position and edit as required. Script Functions for Trigger Script and Run Command You can use different script functions for generating Trigger Script and Run Command for templates. Create a Run Command

On the Run Commands window, you can create run command to customize the controls such as radio buttons, text fields, buttons, and checkboxes of the required NextGen Adaptive Content Engine template. Open Template Editor. On the main toolbar, select Run Commands .The Run Commands window opens. To insert the command, do one of the following: Enter { in the Command section to display the list of available functions and select the required function. Do the following: From the Action list, select the required action script. Select the ellipsis button to display the calculate window. Select or modify the required fields. Select OK. Select color from the list. Select Apply. Note: The command is displayed in the Command field. In the Details section, select Add. Under the Conditions section, enter the required conditions in the tabs. Note: Conditions use standard trigger condition syntax. Checked decides whether a menu item has a checked status shown on it. Update a Run Command

You can update or modify a run command in the Run Commands window. Open Template Editor. On the main toolbar, select Run Commands .The Run Commands window opens. Under the Master list, select the command that needs to be updated.The command appears in the Details section of the Run Commands window. Details of the command appear in the data entry fields below the Master list. In the Details section, select the command.The command function appears in the Commands section below in the Run Commands window. Select the Enable/Disable button to enable/disable the command detail item. In the Commands section, update the command as required. Select Update.The command is updated in the Run Commands window. Trigger Functions

The Trigger Functions icon has been added in the main toolbar which enables you to create and maintain trigger scripts. The Trigger Script displays a list of NextGen® Enterprise EHR and user-defined trigger scripts. The NextGen® Enterprise EHR trigger scripts can only be edited by NextGen® Enterprise EHR users with NextGen® Enterprise EHR admin access. User-defined scripts can be edited by any user. Note: To manage NextGen® Enterprise EHR trigger scripts, Template Editor must be launched in NextGen® Enterprise EHR Admin mode. If you do not have NextGen® Enterprise EHR admin access, you cannot create NextGen® Enterprise EHR trigger scripts or edit a script. Delete a Run Command

You can delete a run command in the Run Commands window. Open Template Editor. On the main toolbar, select Run Commands .The Run Commands window opens. Under the Master list, select the command that needs to be deleted.The command appears in the Details section of the Run Commands window. Under the Details section, select the command.The command function appears in the Commands section below in the Run Commands window. Remove the command function from the Commands field.
