Template Groups

You can use the #Groups on the Template Editor main toolbar to group the template and sub-template controls such as labels, edit fields, radio buttons, checkboxes, and so forth.

You can set up a single trigger on a group instead of setting up n number of the same triggers for the individual controls to reduce the design time and maintenance of a template.

The fields in the groups are limited to the control type. To create the appropriate events and actions (triggers) for a group, you must select the required control type from the Control Type Association list in the #Groups window while creating a group. If the control type is none then you can not apply a trigger to that group. However, you can use it to replace the field lists in triggers such as show, hide, field color, enable, and change field style.

By default, implicit groups are available in the system for every template. You can not set up a trigger for the implicit group, unlike the user-created groups.
