Set Up Template Preference Properties

The Use Alias option is available only on user-defined copies of an existing NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. You can clear the Use Alias preference to point all triggers to the original NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. You can turn on a preference to attach a sidebar template to another template. You can select the location of the sidebar in the template, and you can turn on the Auto Hide the Sidebar option. This functionality is available only if the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine is locked down. Open Template Editor. Open template sub template, template snippet, or popup template, and then do one of the following: Double-click anywhere outside a field on the template. Size the Popup template so that it does not exceed the computer’s screen resolution. The template size is defined by the dimensions of the bounding rectangle and/or the Size values entered on the Preferences tab in the Template Properties window. If the Popup template is too large, you cannot see the edges of the bounding rectangle in the visible screen space in Template Editor (not including the width of the Fields List) without scrolling. Place fields outside below the bounding rectangle, causing a scroll bar to be created at run time to display these additional fields. Parent topic: Template Preference Properties

Popup Template Position

Popup template launches from a trigger. You can set the exact position on the screen where the Popup template always appears. Create and save a Popup template. Do one of the following: From the Menu bar, select Layout, and then select Popup Template Position. On the Layout toolbar, select Popup Template Position. A blank Popup Template Position window opens. This window represents the exact size of your Popup template. Select the top blue pane of the window and drag it to the appropriate position. Template Preference Properties

It enables you to switch the reference of all relevant template triggers between the original NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine and the user-defined copy of the original NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. By default, a new user-defined copy of a NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine is set to have all relevant template triggers point to it. You can clear the Use Alias preference to point all triggers to the original NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. You can enable a preference to attach a Sidebar template to another template. You can select the side of the template on which to display the sidebar and you can turn the Auto Hide Sidebar option. This functionality is available only if the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine have been locked down. Open the Template Properties window. Select the Preferences tab.
