AGE Function

Use: Displays the age of the currently selected patient in the specified format as of the selected date. Syntax: {AGE( «format» , «date» )} Arguments: «format» (optional) "YMWD" (any combination of Years, Months, Weeks, Days) Note: Enclose the format parameter in double quotes. If you enter only the format without a date, do not include the comma after it. «date» (optional) Date to calculate against the date of birth (for example, encounter date, current date). The date can be any end date greater than the patient's date of birth. Format: YYYYMMDD Note: If the date is a hard-coded string, enclose it in double quotes. If no format or date is specified, the default format is: YMD and today’s date. CALENDAR Function

Use: Displays a calendar for the user to select a date. Syntax: {CALENDAR( «calling field» , «do listpick» , «default» , «caption» )} Arguments: «calling field» (optional) The name of the field that receives the date value, or for a list pick event, the template field that the pick is made from«do listpick» (optional) 1 = true 0 = false«default» Default value displayed in the calendar when it opens. NextGen Healthcare recommends that you use the field that receives the date value as the default value. If this field already contains a date, the calendar displays that date when it opens. If the field is blank, the calendar displays the current date when it opens. ePCS Prescriptions Report Considerations

When you use the Enter Values window to generate the ePCS Prescriptions report, remember the following: Selecting the Date Range and Users on the Enter Values Dialog Field Considerations Start Date Default date is set as One Month from Current Date. If you need to generate a report for a date range other than the default date (One Month from Current Date), manually enter another date in the Start Date: Enter Value field in the indicated format (YYYY-MM-DD). Note: If you manually enter the date, this date will override One Month from Current Date field. See the following screen examples (Examples 1 and 2). Select Diagnosis Data

Select Diagnosis from the Report Filter Settings List. Report Filter Select to display the Diagnosis Search window. Diagnosis Search Select the pertinent Library. To further narrow your search, select the Category. Select whether you wish to search by ICD or Dx Code. Enter a Diagnosis search criterion. Note: Make sure to use the proper ICD Code for your search. If your Practice is using the decimal ICD Code, make sure to enter the ".". Select Search. Select the desired Diagnoses. Select OK. The selected diagnoses display in the Diagnosis Search pane. Select whether to Include or Exclude the displayed diagnoses. Select whether to display patients who have had problems within specific date criteria, for example: Patients who have never had the problem before or after a specific date or between a specific date range. Patients who have ever had a problem before or after a specific date. Patients who have not had this problem since a specific date. To select a date range, check Who Have Eve
