Data Share Module Log Files

The the Data Share module maintains a log of related events and archives the log file whenever the file size reaches 2 MB. As all files are encrypted, you must view them using the Log Viewer in the Data Share module . The current log file is named EhrNextGen.log. The log file path is \NextGen\LogFiles on the drive where the Data Share module is opened, for example, C:\NextGen\LogFiles. If the folder does not exist, it is automatically created. View Data Share Module Log Files You can use the Log Viewer in the Data Share module to help with troubleshooting issues. Search Log Files You can search the Data Share module log files to find specific information by date range, level, or message content. Export Log Files In the Data Share module log viewer, you can export a log file or the results of a log file search to a comma-separated values (CSV) file, text file, or Microsoft Excel® file (if Excel is installed). Reinitialize the HIE Gateway and Refresh Endpoints

You can refresh connections and status without having to close and reopen the Data Share module. To refresh the Data Share module, select Reinitialize the HIE Gateway and Refresh EndpointsRefresh. Reinitialize Button for Data Share Module This action does the following: Restarts the HIE Gateway. Reconnects to the external systems available for import and export. Reconnects to NextGen® Share and NextGen® Share Carequality Service, if available. Refreshes data on all tabs in the Data Share module. Viewing the History and Updating Documents

To see the results of previous searches or exports, you can use the Home tab in the Data Share module. Data Share Module Home Tab View the Search History You can view the history of your searches in the Data Share module by using the Search History pane on the Home tab. To view the history of your searches in the Data Share module, you can open the Search History pane on the Home tab. You can perform the following actions for the Search History pane. To control the relative sizes of the Search History and Export History panes, select the collapse Collapse Pane or expand icon in either pane. To control the maximum number of items displayed on each page or to move to previous or later pages, use the icons at the bottom of the Search History pane. Page Controls To refresh the data in the Search History pane, select the refresh Refresh icon at the bottom of the pane. To view the results of an existing search, select the date and time in the Search Date column.The search results pane opens on the right. You can perform the same actions there as if you had just initiated a search from the Search tab. To control the maximum number of items displayed on each page or to move to previous or later pages, use the icons at the bottom of the Export History pane.
