Custom Reports

Report Filter allows you to generate, view and print custom created reports. Reports could be built for either a specific practice (that you used to logon to the application) or a specific enterprise (that you used to logon to the application). Note: To create and generate NextGen® Enterprise EHR reports, there must be report types set up in File Maintenance. For the availability of report types, refer to your practice's System Administrator. The NextGen® Enterprise EHR Custom Reports use patient demographic information (such as First Name, Last Name, Gender, Address, Date of Birth, and so on) for filtering and pulling specific data from a patient's chart based on custom-build criteria, such as: Template data Diagnosis data Procedure data Allergy data Medication data Laboratory data Parent topic: Create and Use Custom Reports

Report Filter Examples

The Report Filter enables you to create simple or complex reports. From the Report Filter, you can: Select a module or option from the Settings List to filter module and patient data. Select a combination of modules or options from the Report Filter Settings List to filter module and patient data. Select additional informational and display options, including sorting, columns, and customizing the header or footer, prior to saving and/or generating a report. Selecting Data and Generating Reports

You can select and filter various types of data to create your custom reports, including Clinical data (allergy, diagnosis, medication, procedure), Orders data (such as lab results), Templates data, and Patient data. You can select data to generate more complex reports, such as logical groups and stored procedures. For additional informational and for presentation purposes, you can select options on the Report Filter Settings List such as Sorting and Totals. Once the data is selected, you can generate the report. CAUTION: Selecting OK on the Report Filter generates the report. Therefore, when navigating between different modules or options when creating a report, do not select OK from the Report Filter window until you have selected all filters, data, report display options, and columns. Select Data to Create Logical Groups

You are able to generate a report based on complex Boolean logic using predefined filters for Diagnosis, Procedure, Medication or Template tabs. Using the Logical group, you can setup a report for all patients with a specific diagnosis or patients who had a specific procedure and were prescribed a specific medication. Note: Logical Group reporting requires that you have advanced knowledge of reporting within the NextGen application. For questions regarding advanced reporting information, contact your System Administrator. Setup desired filters for Medication, Procedure, Diagnosis, Templates, and so on.
