Select CCD Generation Options

Option/Field	Description
Longitudinal	Generate the CCD for all of the patient's encounters for the practice.
Encounter (default)	Generate the CCD for the specific encounter selected from the list of patient encounters.
Path	If needed, change the file path in one of the following ways: Enter the new path. Select the ellipsis button to open the Open window. Locate the file, and select the Open button to populate the path.
Export to Rosetta	Select this check box to send the CCD to NextGen® Enterprise Rosetta Interface Messenger for processing.
Save CCD to chart	Select this check box to save a copy of the exported file to the patient chart for future reference if needed (you can view the CCD later as described in Retrieve a CCD from an HIE).
Select CQM Provider	Trigger options may be set to default to the encounter rendering provider, the provider selected in NextGen® Enterprise EHR or the provider supplied from a selected template field or variable. The Select CQM Provider field displays the default provider name; otherwise, the field is blank. If no provider is named, the CCD is generated without one. Select a CQM provider if you are reporting Clinical Quality Measure for Meaningful Use for a provider who should get credit for any quality measures which are related to the process you are executing, and the provider differs from the provider listed. To find a provider, select the ellipsis button. The Provider Search window opens, enabling you to fill in this field with a selected provider.

Trigger a CCD

Before you begin Ask your system administrator which NextGen® Enterprise EHR template and control (such as a button or field) to use to generate the CCD. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, select the patient you want to generate the CCD for. Open the applicable template. Select the template control that triggers CCD generation. Based on the Generate CCD trigger options, you may be required to select a Clinical Quality Measures (CQM) provider or select CCD generation options. If the trigger is set to export to NextGen® Enterprise Rosetta Interface Messenger and CCD generation is successful, an optional message stating that the CCD has been queued for export by Rosetta agents may display. NextGen® Enterprise Rosetta Interface Messenger processes the CCD accordingly (to a file, HIE or designated endpoint). If the trigger is not set to export to NextGen® Enterprise Rosetta Interface Messenger, the generated document opens. Select Close. Parent topic: Generating a CCD

Provider Search

Select a CQM provider if you are reporting Clinical Quality Measure for Meaningful Use for a provider who should get credit for any quality measures which are related to the process you are executing, and the provider differs from the provider listed. A Generate CCD trigger option may be set to always open the Provider Search window or when the CQM provider is unknown. You can also access the window from the Generate CCD window. If known, enter all or part of the practice name and address in the Details section, and all or part of the provider name and phone and fax numbers in the Contact section. If you do not provide any information, all providers are listed. Select Search. The results that match your search criteria appear. Select a provider from the list, and then select OK. If you initiated the provider search from the Generate CCD window, the selected provider populates in the Select CQM Provider field. Parent topic: Generating a CCD

A trigger option may be set to automatically display the Generate CCD window when you try to generate a CCD. To select CCD generation options, you can select the applicable options and complete the fields in the window as explained in the following table. Generating a CCD

To generate CCDs, your practice must purchase NextGen® Clinical Interface Bundle including all applicable Rosetta agents. After NextGen® Clinical Interface Bundle is installed and configured, you can run the Generate CCD trigger on a NextGen® Enterprise EHR template. Depending on the trigger setup, a CCD can be generated for a selected patient encounter or all patient encounters (longitudinal). You can also choose to generate CCDs as local files or export them to an external system such as a NextGen Health Information Exchange or Health Information Service Provider (HISP).
