Select Diagnosis Toolbar

Option Description Patient Displays all unresolved diagnoses on the patient's chart. This Order Displays the diagnosis codes associated with the selected order. Search All Displays the Diagnosis window, which enables you to search and select a diagnosis. Check Today's Displays the diagnosis from today's encounter Check Chronic Displays all chronic conditions Check All Checks all unresolved diagnoses Uncheck All Removes all unresolved diagnoses from the order. Search for a Diagnosis

If "third party" is the billing type, a diagnosis must be identified. Select an unresolved diagnosis that is on the patient's chart. To search for a diagnosis that is not in the list at the top, do the following: In the Diagnosis section of the Lab Order Test window, select Search All. The Diagnosis window opens. Select to select the appropriate search criteria. Select Search. From the list, select the applicable diagnosis and select OK. The diagnosis displays in the Diagnosis section of the order creation or update window. Note: To remove a diagnosis from the diagnosis list, select to uncheck the diagnosis in the Select Diagnosis pane, and it is removed from the order. Parent topic: Select Diagnosis Panel

In the Select Diagnosis panel of the Select Tests tab, you can select one or more diagnoses to be associated with the tests ordered. The list of diagnoses is pulled from the patient's chart. Place a Lab Order with Bypass Orders Module Processing On

Click the Labs tab. The Lab Master template opens. Document An Assessment. If a preferred vendor does not appear or you want to change the vendor, select a vendor. To change the billing type, click the Billing Type field and select an option. The Billing Type field has been filled based on the selected vendor. The default billing type is Third Party; however, if the patient's insurance is not attached to the encounter, the default is Patient. To specify when to perform the test, select the timeframe or date. Select the order priority and the need to fast or call results. Click one of the following template links: Chemistry Microbiology Other Tests Tumor Markers Office Labs Serology Urine Chemistries Hematology OB Labs Therapeutic Levels The template for the selected lab type opens.
