Reviewing a Pending Document Regenerated by a Signee or Other User

If a signee or another user regenerates a multi-user signoff document, it is returned to the Provider Approval Queue (PAQ) Pending tab of the encounter provider who initiated the action as a single-user signoff document. Treat it as any other pending document in the PAQ. You can initiate multi-user signoff for the regenerated document with the same or different signees for the original document. Reject the Document

You can reject a document after it is rejected by a signee. For example, you may reject the document if it is missing information or is incorrect. Instead of rejecting a document, you may want to revise and regenerate it and send it for signoff again. Select the PAQ Pending tab and open the document to reject, following steps 1-3 in Initiate Multi-user Signoff on a Pending Provider Approval Queue (PAQ) Document. To add a comment to the document: Select Add/View to the right of the comments section. In the Add Comments window that appears, enter your comments, and select Save. Your comments are added above any previous comments for the document. Note: It is a best practice to add a comment explaining why you have rejected a document. Otherwise, only Document Rejected appears, which is a system-generated comment. To reject the document, select Reject. Sign off Existing Documents and Return It to Existing Signees

You can sign off a rejected document and send it back to the Provider Approval Queue (PAQ) Pending tab of the previous list of signees. For example, you may not need to change the document or signees if you can clarify the content of the document with the signee who rejected it. Access your PAQ Pending tab and open the document to sign off, following steps 1-3 in Initiate Multi-user Signoff on a Pending PAQ Document. Select Sign-off. If a multi-user signoff document becomes a single-user signoff document through regeneration while the PAQ is open, a message appears indicating that there has been a change to the document since it was last retrieved. Select OK to close the message window, and then select F5 on your keyboard to refresh the PAQ. Do one of the following: Sign off the regenerated document as a single user. If a signee rejects a document you have sent, the document is returned to your Provider Approval Queue (PAQ) Pending tab. Depending on the reason for rejection and your review of the document, you can do the following: Sign off the existing document and return it to the existing signees Add or remove signees for the document, and restart the multi-user signoff process again. Note: You must be the encounter provider to add or remove signees for the document. Regenerate the document after correcting information in it, and restart the multi-user signoff process again with the same or different signees. Reject the document. As the encounter provider or the provider's delegate, you can perform the following actions: Initiate or restart multi-user signoff on a pending Provider Approval Queue (PAQ) document. Add or remove signees after a multi-user document is rejected by a signee. Review a document that was rejected by a signee or regenerated by any user, and determine the appropriate action to take. Change Signees for Documents and Restart Multi-user Signoff

If the document gets rejected because it was sent to the wrong signee, revise your list of signees, and send the document to the updated group for signoff. To restart the multi-user signoff process, follow steps 1-3, and 5-10 in Initiate Multi-user Signoff on a Pending Provider Approval Queue (PAQ) Document.
