Before you begin
Ask your system administrator which
NextGen® Enterprise EHR template and control (such as a button or field) to use to retrieve the CCD.
Your practice may set up the ability to communicate with a NextGen Health Information Exchange to retrieve the most current CCD available for the patient. If this functionality is in place, you can execute a Stored Procedure trigger on a
NextGen® Enterprise EHR template to retrieve the CCD from the
NextGen® HIE.
Note: Your practice may have other ways to retrieve a CCD from NextGen HIE. Check with your system administrator to see if another process is being used.
