Release Order Options

Using the Due filter on a custom Practice template with an Orders Management order control, you can select the following release options for an order: Release. Release the order(s) without performing any other actions. Release > Print. This option enables you to release and print the requisition for the selected order (or orders). When you select this option, the batch processing begins automatically. Release > Fax. This option enables you to release and fax the requisition for the selected order (or orders). Release > Send. This option releases the orders and sends them to an external system. The Release process window does not display. When you select this option, the batch processing begins automatically. Release > Update. This option enables you to update an individual order before releasing it. If the encounter associated with the test order has been locked, you cannot edit the order. Using the Due filter, you can perform the following actions: Refresh the list of orders displayed on the page. Delete an order. Release an order. Stop an order. Release an Order

Open your custom practice template with an Orders Management order control. On the Filters bar, select Due. The Orders Management grid for the Due filter opens. Select the row for each order to release. On the Due filter Top toolbar, do one of the following: Select Release. To select additional actions to perform with the release, select the appropriate option from the Release list. The Release Order window displays the order (or orders) with the options to Send and Print. To update an order before it is released, select Update Requisition. A green check mark appears to the left of the order on the Release Order window. Then the Update Order window opens. Enter the required changes. To send an order, select the Send check box. To print the order to your default printer, select the Print check box. Select Process. The Batch Release window opens, displaying the order description and the action in progress. Mark Future and Recurring Orders for Auto Release Using the Orders Management Order Control in a Custom Practice Template

Using an Orders Management Control order control in a custom practice template, you can mark future and recurring orders to be automatically released for one patient or multiple patients for a practice. Open your custom practice template with an Orders Management order control. To mark an order for Auto Release for one patient, from the Orders Management Control practice template top toolbar, select the appropriate patient, right-click the order and select Auto Release. To mark orders for Auto Release for multiple patients, select the appropriate patients, right-click the orders and select Auto Release. Note: You can change a patient's Auto Release status (that is, "mark" as Yes or No) by selecting Auto Release. This overrides the current Auto Release status, even if it was defaulted when the Future or Recurring order was selected for processing. If you select multiple patients, the Auto Release window displays the selected orders that were successfully released and those that failed.

Using an Orders Management Control order control in a custom practice template, you can mark future and recurring orders to be automatically released for one patient or multiple patients for a practice. Open your custom practice template with an Orders Management order control. To mark an order for Auto Release for one patient, from the Orders Management Control practice template top toolbar, select the appropriate patient, right-click the order and select Auto Release. To mark orders for Auto Release for multiple patients, select the appropriate patients, right-click the orders and select Auto Release. Note: You can change a patient's Auto Release status (that is, "mark" as Yes or No) by selecting Auto Release. This overrides the current Auto Release status, even if it was defaulted when the Future or Recurring order was selected for processing. If you select multiple patients, the Auto Release window displays the selected orders that were successfully released and those that failed.
