Launch Reconciliation from NextGen® Enterprise EHR

Before you begin To perform a clinical reconciliation from NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you must first import a patient's Continuity of Care Document (CCD) or Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA), or have completed a patient medication history request. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient. To reconcile all clinical data for a patient (referred to as All mode), select Clinical Reconciliation from the View menu. Note: You can also access the Clinical Reconciliation module in All mode from the Medication Review pop up template, a customized Medical Records or Demographics template or pop up. To reconcile specific clinical data, such as medications or problems or results (referred to as Module mode), select the appropriate module and then select the Reconcile button. Open the Full Reconciliation Module

You can use the full Clinical Reconciliation module rather than the one-click reconciliation feature for any of the following tasks: See the full set of data columns for each clinical item, rather than just the most commonly useful columns. Reconcile items from multiple Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) documents simultaneously. Reconcile resolved medications, allergies, or problems, not just the currently active items. Replace or delete any previously imported items. View reconciliation history. You can open the Clinical Reconciliation module in any of the following ways: Within the Reconcile window for one-click reconciliation, select the link for the full Reconciliation module. One-Click Reconciliation

The one-click reconciliation feature enables you to import data from within the Custom View tab for the CDA that is currently open. This feature satisfies Meaningful Use Stage 3 rule §170.315(b)(2), "Clinical Information Reconciliation," including the ability to Simultaneously display the data from an external system and existing data in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Create a single reconciled list for each clinical data category, including medications, medication allergies, and problems. Review and validate the accuracy of a final set of data. The Custom View displays a Reconcile (reconcile) button next to each section heading and each individual item that is eligible for import. By hovering or clicking this button, you can open the one-click reconciliation window and confirm the import of selected items. Enable Tabs for Other Clinical Categories

When you jump to the Import tab, you may find that the Clinical Reconciliation Module allows access to only one clinical category, and all other clinical category sub-tabs are disabled. Clinical Reconciliation Module This limitation occurs if you originally opened the Clinical Reconciliation Module from a module in NextGen® Enterprise EHR If you want to reconcile other clinical categories, Close the Clinical Reconciliation window, then open it again from the Clinical Reconciliation selection on the View menu in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. When launched in this way, the Clinical Reconciliation Module gives access to all clinical categories. Clinical Reconciliation

The Clinical Reconciliation module enables you to review a patient's existing clinical data and data from any of the following sources: An imported Continuity of Care Document (CCD) or Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) document. A patient medication history file from an ePrescribing vendor (such as SureScripts®). An HL7 message from a state immunization registry. From the review of a patient's data, you can: Add clinical data from a supported document type to the patient's chart. Replace clinical data from the patient's chart with clinical data from a supported document type. Delete clinical data from the patient's chart. Review a history of changes made to clinical data using the Clinical Reconciliation module. An alternative to the Clinical Reconciliation module is the One-Click Reconciliation feature of the CDA Viewer, which enables you to reconcile clinical items in a single C-CDA.
