A	Abnormal for nominal observations, all service types
AA	Abnormal Alert for nominal observations, all service type
HH	High Alert above the upper threshold for quantitative observations
LL	Low Alert below lower alert threshold for quantitative observations
H	High above high normal for quantitative observations
L	Low below low normal for quantitative observations
N	Normal for all service types

Access External Patient Education from the Orders Module

You can access the External Patient Education resource from the Orders module. The external resource collects the LOINC code or CPT4 codes for the selected lab result and the patient’s age, age range, gender, and observation interpretation flag (such as normal or abnormal). This information is passed through the InfoButton to the external system. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Orders module for a patient. Note: Orders must have results before you can access external educational resources. Select the result, and then select Resources > External Patient Education on the Orders module toolbar. Observation Codes for Lab Results

The InfoButton lists only seven observation codes even though the Lab Result Interface protocol contains 32 codes that can accompany a lab result. The following table describes the seven observation codes that can be passed through the URL to an educational resource. Review Test Results

You can open the order and result detail in the Orders Summary tab. Open the Orders module. The Results tab is in view by default. If the default initial tab view has been changed, select the Results tab to open it. The results appear for the default All filter. To view results for a private or practice filter, select the filter in the Results tab Filters bar. The results appear for the selected filter. To view additional information for a result, select the result value in the Collection Date & Time column. The bottom of the Results tab shows the result value, status, applicable test units, any abnormal flag, the normal range, and any comments. To copy the text, select Select All and Copy. You can paste it in another document or template. Open Coded Lab Order

The results configured in the coded lab order result appear in Result Details in Order Management. You must ensure to add the codes in the manage template links. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Select Configuration Home, and then click OK.The Custom DB Picklist template opens. Select one of the Dbpicklist Name: To add codes related to chlamydia, select Coded lab chlamydia. To add codes related to gonorrhoeae, select Coded lab gonorrhoeae. To add codes related to HIV and Syphilis, select Coded lab order result. The Configure button is available. Click Configure.The Custom DBPicklist Setup window opens.
