The following expiration and validation checks apply when you assign diagnoses from the Patient Diagnosis and Patient Procedure template triggers:
- When you execute a Patient Diagnosis trigger, only those diagnoses codes that are not expired are available for selection from templates.
- If you enter a diagnosis code that does not exist in the patient's chart from a Patient Procedure trigger, a validation window opens. You can select Yes to add the diagnosis to the patient's chart, or select No to continue adding the procedure without adding the diagnosis to the patient's chart.
