Access and Set Up SAP Crystal Reports
SAP Crystal Reports master files are stored in folders in the NextGenRoot folder. To use a report, you use Windows® Explorer to copy the report file to a location specified in the Reports Universal Preference. The Standard reports included in NextGen® Enterprise EHR are stored in the Distributed Reports Crystal Reports folder. The location of other report files can vary. After you copy the report files to the correct location, you can use the Report Dialog to set up and generate the report. Note: The copy location, set up, generation, and printing of SAP Crystal Reports vary. Determine the Copy Location
Access System Administrator. The System Administrator main window opens. From the Main menu, select View > Universal Preferences. The Preferences window opens. Select Reports. The Universal Preferences for the reports appears. Determine the location to copy the reports, which is specified in the appropriate Universal Preference. For example, the specific copy location for Meaningful Use Reports is in the Custom Report Path. You must do the following in the report dialog to generate and print a report: Access the reports Select the report type Select the location Set up the printer. Note: Make sure you have installed your SAP Crystal Reports properly before setting up your SAP Crystal Reports. Once you have completed these steps, you can modify the reports if needed. Copy the SAP Crystal Reports to Specified Location
In Windows Explorer, locate the reports folder on the server. Open the Crystal Reports sub-folder and the appropriate folder for the reports you wish to copy, for example, Medications. Select Edit > Select All. Select Edit > Copy. Open the C:\NextGen directory and navigate to the appropriate directory specified in the Universal Preference. Select Edit > Paste.
