Add General Information for Patients or Other Persons
In a person’s or patient’s general information, you must add the first and last name, Social Security number, birth date, sex, gender identity, and preferred pronouns. This general information appears as a header on windows in the application.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
- From the main toolbar, select Lookup.
- In the People Lookup window, select New.
- In the Add Person Information window, enter the necessary details.
- Select the preferred prefix.
- To prevent patients with the same birth date and gender, such as twins, from being mistakenly identified as duplicates for merging, select Exempt from Person Merge.
- Select OK.
