Add General Information for Patients or Other Persons

In a person’s or patient’s general information, you must add the first and last name, Social Security number, birth date, sex, gender identity, and preferred pronouns. This general information appears as a header on windows in the application.
  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM.
  2. From the main toolbar, select Lookup.
  3. In the People Lookup window, select New.
  4. In the Add Person Information window, enter the necessary details.
  5. Select the preferred prefix.
  6. To prevent patients with the same birth date and gender, such as twins, from being mistakenly identified as duplicates for merging, select Exempt from Person Merge.
  7. Select OK.
