Sign off Orders in the PAQ

To view and sign off DM images, access PAQ. Select a DM image associated with a patient. To display the Orders Document Link and Unlink section, select the Orders Module button on the PAQ panel. The system displays the order types and tests based on the order preferences selected in File Maintenance (that is, Order Type and Source). If necessary, you can unlink orders. For example, if a different DM image needs to be linked to an order. Note: You can only unlink an image that has been linked to an order processed in the Orders module If necessary, link an image, by selecting Link or Complete (for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine results). Add any comments, if needed, and perform Sign off for the selected DM Image. The system updates the status of the order or result, as appropriate. For Lab tests processed in the Orders module, the system updates the order status from Ordered to Assigned when the DM image is linked to a test. Scan and Link an Image in DM

Open NextGen® Document Management. Access a document or image using Scan & File or Batches. Select a Document type. Note: The selected Document Type must have the Potential Order Resultcheck box selected in File Maintenance. Select a patient. The open orders (that is, not Signed off or Completed) display. The default Order/Result Linking preferences you selected in File Maintenance appear. Note: In this example, the practice has set up their default view to display Labs and the Order module as the default source. However, for another document type, for example a Radiology image, the user can select the appropriate display options on the Link tab. Select a test order from either the default view or by selecting another order type or order source. If necessary, you can unlink an image from an order. Viewing the Updated Order Status and Result for a NextGen Adaptive Content Engine Templates Order

After the provider signs off the Document Management image in the PAQ, you can view the updated status for the selected NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine orders on the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine Order Management template. Viewing the Updated Order Status and Result in the Orders Module

After the provider signs off the order or result, you can view the updated information for the order by accessing the Orders Summary tab. On the Orders Summary tab, the updated status displays for the order status (Signed off) in the NextGen status column. To view the result image for the test, open the Orders Summary > Results > Documents, Images, and Urls. Note: For more information about viewing and working with DM images in the Orders module, refer to the Linking New Documents and Images to Order Tests section.
